Scar's Perspective-

Two Weeks Later-

"I wonder how Martyn's doing."

"Is he that superhero who was training you and he left?" Adam asked and I nodded.

"Yeah..."

"Don't worry about him. I think you should have your focus on you and your boyfriend right now." Adam chuckled as he teased me.

I rolled my eyes.

"Oh come on, you know you love him."

"Maybe I do! But I'm taking things slow."

"Mhm."

"I am! I don't wanna ruin things with him, so I'm going at a slow and comfortable pace."

I sighed and looked up at the ceiling, thinking about what Martyn said before he left.

"I wonder who Martyn was talking about..."

"What do you mean?" Adam asked.

"Huh? Oh- nothing."

The bell rang and I walked off to the gym.

I watched as my feet marched forward.

"Hey! Scar!"

I couldn't help but blush as I heard the familiar voice.

I turned around and saw Grian running up to me.

"Hey Cutie-Patootie." I smiled, winking at him.

Grian giggled and blushed.

"Stop calling me that!"

"No." I smirked.

"I hate you sometimes."

"Aww, I love you too." (#couplegoals)

We both laughed and we walked into the locker room.

-

I whistled as me and Grian waited for Canary in the gym.

"Hey guys!" Canary smiled as he walked over to us, "You ready for training?"

Me and Grian nodded, and we walked out into town.

"Okay, so for today's training, we're going to- "

Canary cut himself off as he heard someone growl.

We looked around and saw a guy teleport into a nearby alleyway.

He had cyan hair, a green shirt and denim jeans, and his entire body was covered in seaweed and coral. Martyn, who was clutching onto his sword, death stared the other guy, who had purple, gleaming eyes.

"I won't leave until I get him back." Martyn said in a deadly whisper.

"Well too bad, he's dead."

"NO, HE'S NOT! You can only take control of people who are alive. I know this, Canon. I'm not stupid."

"That's a surprise."

Martyn growled and we then made eye contact.

"Grian? Scar? What are you doing- "

Canon then punched Martyn in the stomach, causing him to fall to the ground.

They laughed sickly and teleported behind us.

Canary growled and punched Canon, causing them to get into a fight.

Me and Grian ran over to Martyn, who was kneeled down, clutching his stomach.

"Don't." He held up a hand and got up himself, "I'm okay, you two go run to safety. Me and Canary got this."

"No. I'm staying here to help." I said forcefully, and Grian nods.

"Yeah, we're going to help you defeat Canon."

"Good luck with that." Someone whispered in my ear, and I jumped, turning around to see Canon.

Grian growled and tried to punch Canon, who grabbed his wrist and threw him to the ground.

"HEY!" I shouted and shot an arrow at them.

We all started fighting and Grian ended up getting hit hard.

Canon kicked him in the chest and Grian tumbled to the ground, his blaster flying out of his hand.

Canon smirked as they walked over to Grian, who was groaning on the ground.

"Looks like this is the end." Canon said, grabbing Grian's blaster before pointing it at him and shooting.

"NO!" I shouted, running towards him.

My eyes widened as a huge flash of light appeared before the fire hit Grian.

I squinted and saw the outline of a tiny gnome before it all disappeared.

Canon and I got launched back and I coughed, opening my eyes to see that...

Grian was gone.
