Martyn's Perspective-

It's been weeks.

Canon moved his secret base.

I remember one that I used to have with my old superhero partner.

We would go there and skip class.

But now...it's gone.

It's not where it's supposed to be.

It's moved.

And I'm sure Canon is behind it.

...what, you're telling me you don't know who one of the strongest villains is?

Their name is Canon. Canon Everett.

They have the power to fly, teleport, and they can take over people.

And they took over my partner.

-

My eyes widened as I saw the old secret base me and my superhero partner used to have.

It's a giant glass hourglass.

I entered from the top and jumped down to the second floor.

I heard Canon walk upstairs and they sighed as they saw me.

"So we meet again." They smirked.

"So we do."

"How have you been all these years?"

"Fine."

"Have you? Seems like you've changed to a more...pirate-y look." They said, pacing around me in a circle.

I glared at them.

"Very interesting." They whispered.

"Get on with it, Canon."

"My, my, you really just jump the gun, don't you? Well, I expected you to be here, so why don't we have some fun?"

"I'll pass."

"Oh come on, don't you miss me?" Canon winked and I glared at them.

"You may be in the body of my partner, but you'll never be him."

"True that. I'm better than him."

"No, you're- "

"Now Martyn, did you come all this way just to argue with me?"

"No, I came to end you."

"Ha! You can't do that without remembering the times you spent with your partner."

My grip tightened on my sword and Canon smirked.

"What's wrong?" They asked, leaning in close, "Scared?"

"Let him go, he doesn't deserve this."

"Oh I would beg to differ. He does deserve this. Didn't he ask you to kill him in order to run away? So he wouldn't face the consequences of making me the strongest villain alive?"

"He doesn't deserve this!!" I shouted.

"He most certainly does. I'm sure even your old friends would agree if they knew the truth."

I sighed and looked down.

"Now, now, don't look away." Canon gently grabbed my chin and made me look up at them, "Don't you miss me?" He winked and I growled.

"I miss him, not you."

"Tch, tch, tch, you stupid man."

I growled and stepped back.

"Now, why don't you do us a favor and leave?"

"No. I'm not leaving without him."

Canon sighed and they kicked me to the ground.

"Well too bad."

They grabbed my wrist and teleported me in the middle of the ocean before letting go of me and teleporting away.

I immediately started to try and swim up in order to breath.

I was able to make it in time and gasped for air.

I coughed some of the water out of my lungs and looked around.

I then froze time so it would still be daylight and I could find my way back home.
