Cash walked over to Dallas while lighting a cigarette, Cash has a mission with Dallas and River today, it was pretty early in the morning. He was enjoying lying in bed with Nix who stayed the night, he's been doing that a lot more when he has a day off. Cash noticed Nix has been acting a little off lately, he hasn't been wanting to stay home and he's been ignoring his phone and likes to ding with notifications. Maybe it's his home life, he wants to speak to him about it and ask him what's wrong, but he doesn't want to pass boundaries. Every time he asks Nix if he's alright he just says it's his personal home issues and it's not a huge deal.
Cash sighed as he blew out smoke. "You're late," River says as she sits on the back end of Dallas's car.
"I didn't want to get out of bed." Cash says.
"Hmm, Nix morning cuddles?" River teases.
Cash didn't say anything, he just rolled his eyes. He puffed on his cigarette. "How many?"
"Maybe 10," Dallas says. "Both of us could easily do it."
Cash nods. "Yeah, you can leave." Cash says to River.
River smirks. "No, I'd rather stay. I also would like to know where that little hickey on your neck came from?" River says as she pokes Cash's neck.
Cash sighs loudly. Damnit, that fucking bitch left a mark. Cash has been going to the club here and there since a couple of weeks ago, and seeing Julia was fun. He liked her attitude, and she was good at certain things and Cash liked the look on Nix's face when he told him he was with Julia. It was kind of hot. He wasn't mad or jealous. Cash has learned Nix wasn't a jealous man, he could care less about those things especially since they're not committed. Cash likes that about Nix.
Cash was used to the jealousy. Every girl he's fucked around with would get jealous, they would get too attached and believed they could change his mind about relationships. No one was good enough, well it wasn't that they weren't good enough, they were all good and fun girls. Beautiful, smart, and just great girls, he just doesn't want to commit to someone especially since he has a soulmate. But he's too scared to commit to his soulmate, not only isn't Cash attractive to men, he's terrified of loving someone that could get bored of him. Cash isn't a likable man, he's not the best man.
It's been 3 months almost 4 with Nix. Cash isn't going to lie, he enjoys having Nix around, his cooking is great, and the apartment stays clean. Nix was fun, he even enjoys the crappy movies. Cash had a plan or a surprise. He's taking Nix on vacation, Nix has never been to the beach, and Nix has never been anywhere 2 hours away from this shit-hole city. But Cash knows a cool ass beach about 8 hours from here, it's nice, beautiful, and clean. Nothing like this crime-infested shit city.
Cash was thinking a week would be enough, Nix needs to call off work at the last minute but he's always there, so it shouldn't matter. He wants to see Nix relax and have fun exploring new things. Cash was excited about this, they're leaving tomorrow morning, so he needed to tell Nix tonight.
"You seem distracted," Dallas says pushing open the door of the old building.
"A Little." Cash says following Dallas, his weapon in his hand.
"Missions, Sebastian, or Nix?" Dallas says.
The missions were coming back-to-back lately, it was annoying but it didn't bother Cash. Sebastian was being a fucking prick, Sebastian found out Cash found his soulmate and told Cash he better not be fucking distracted by his stupid mate. Kinda pissed off Cash. "Nix."
Dallas hummed. "The way he talks, seems like everything is going well."
"The way he talks?" Cash glances at Dallas. "You two talk?"
