  monday morning rolled around fairly fast which meant i was back up and running at four-thirty in the morning in no time. nick stayed over the whole weekend but taylor came over sunday afternoon for lunch and ended up staying a bit longer than expected so he just crashed in the spare bedroom. so all three of us will be going in at the same time when usually it's me going in first with those two trialing behind me.

  "have you checked on alyssa since saturday?" taylor asked as i handed him a cup of coffee after he slid on a hoodie over his t-shirt. "no, but i was going to as soon as i was ready. she knows what time i head out so right before i do i'll probably shoot her a text." i say and start to gather my small things such as my keys, my phone, my lanyards, and any necessary items that security needs right away;
i usually keep those items as accessible as possible.

"that sounds good." he says with a nod. "i'm just skeptical that's all. i didn't appreciate the comment that she said and yeah, i've been thinking that i don't want to throw away a whole friendship over one comment as long as she doesn't but, you gotta admit that was kinda wrong." i say with a small laugh. "i mean, how much do you talk about nick? like was it actually excessive or was she just exaggerating and trying to make things seem worse than they are?" taylor reasons and i sit in the seat across from him.

"well, really only when she brought him up. i've called her twice since we've been in london and she mentioned him by saying 'the guy you've been flirting with' which then only proceeded in me and her saying that he's a nice guy and that she wants to meet him. then the second time she all of a sudden is infatuated with him and the way he talks and the fact that he is on her netflix home screen. like i said, a majority of it was me telling her that safety matters to me and if it makes her feel better, you're here right now so it's not all about nick anymore." i explain and roll my eyes.

"see, that's where i don't understand where she's coming from because safety is huge in this industry and if it was her in your shoes with, let's just say austin butler, she'd be the same way. and i understand completely why you're skeptical still. having a friend, well supposedly a friend, say you'd be nothing without someone else gets me. i'm sorry she said that." taylor says. i shrug it off because like i said, maybe she's right.

  soon after nick came down the stairs and was all ready, we decided to leave. it was still dark out and people were still going home from their night out the day prior or also heading to work. it was weird heading out while it was still dark, but the sun came up not too much later.

  once i put my bags in the trunk, i let the guys get settled since taylor thought he had to run back up to the room, and i texted alyssa.

hey, not sure if you are up to speaking to me but i still
want to check in with you. text me if you want, headed
to set right now. it's up to you but like matthew said,
friends are welcome.
anyways, hope all is well.
