it was officially stasia's last day on set for 'priscilla' and as soon as all of her business was taken care of, i needed to talk to her about something. my parents booked a trip to greece for us three and is leaving it up to stasia if she wants to go. we'd be leaving pretty soon so it's a short notice, but i definitely want to put the offer out there for her to take. a majority of me is begging and pleading for her to say yes, but if she doesn't then that's okay.

"i just finished my second movie!" stasia says as she came running to me. i engulf her into a hug and we rock back and forth for a second. "i'm so proud of you!" i say and she wipes a tear from her eye. "i haven't even had time to think about my next step..." she says and looks up. "hey, one step at a time." i say and she smiles.

"the cast and a few other people are going to dinner tomorrow night, wanna come?" she asks. "i was waiting for you to mention a dinner. i'm surprised it's not tonight." i add. "yeah me too, it's probably too short of a notice to gather everyone up especially since we wrapped kind of late. unlike us, we finished pretty early in the day." she says. "going back, if it's okay that i come then i'll be there." i say with a smile.

on the way back to her apartment, that she was already packing up, she told me everything that they did today. "obviously the day started with hair and makeup, but then we had a small breakfast for the crew so we all sat and had pancakes. we shot a few scenes and the last one we did was when priscilla and elvis meet for the first time so it was kinda full circle for us to end there." she says. "how fun! take any pictures?" i ask. "tons."

you can tell she was on a different kind of adrenaline rush from such an accomplishing moment. but, it all still went back to what she was going to do next. no matter what i said, it was going to be a thought in the back of her head.

"hey um, i have a quick question." i say when i find a random moment of silence between us. "shoot." stasia says. "when are we planned to leave here and where are you headed?" i ask. "well, remember i got us both tickets out of here the day after tomorrow? after that, i think we're gonna be in new york for a while. i was thinking, if you're not booked and busy we could take a day trip or something for my birthday." stasia says with a shrug.

"that's my thing. i'm free until january so we've got time. my next question is, would you be up for flying to greece next week?" i nervously say. "greece?" she quietly repeats with her eyebrows raised. "mhm..." i say.

"holy shit!" she says and stands up from the chair she was sitting in. "what sparked this?" she says excitedly. "well, my parents and i booked a flight the other day for us to go and they said you're welcome to come with if you're comfortable with it." i say. "oh my god, i get to meet your parents?" she asks; i nod. "as long as i'm not intruding on a family vacation, i'd love to go." she says with a hint of reluctance. "well then, you're coming with us." i say with yet another smile. we celebrate for a second before we start talking about what it's like there and what we are going to see.
