It was hard to believe how quickly today had rolled around, Maya and Carina couldn't really bealive it and if Kassie was being honest she couldn't really bealive it either. She was graduating middle school, she would be starting highschool in August. In the few months that Kassie had been in middle school she proved just how smart she truly was, when she had started school Maya and carina had no idea on where she was academically, but she had worked to catch up and did. Kassie had told Maya and Carina bout what her schooling was like when she was with Lane, while it was minimal, it was enough for her to have the basics and to be able to graduate and move on to highschool.

"Mommy! Mamma! I cant find my shoes!" Kassie called out as she ran to the living room while both Maya and Carina were finishing up getting ready.

"Where did you last see them, bella?" Carina asked the small girl as she put mascara on.

"They were in my room. But I can't find them and we need to leave soon otherwise we will be late. We can't be late!" Kassie exclaimed, stressed about that fact that she might be late.

"Kassie, come on baby. I'll help you you find them," Maya said, taking Kassie's hand to help her go and find her shoes.

Usually Kassie was a tidy person, Maya guessed it was for the same reason she was, but currently her room was a mess from where she had pulled stuff out to look for her black converse hightops that she had decided that she wanted to wear with her yellow dress that Carina had helped her pick out for todays celebration.

Maya and Kassie were searching the room, Maya had just started looking for the shoes near kassie's bed when she noticed something in in Romeo's one of bed's that was in her room. Kassie's shoes where in his bed.

"I found them Kass!" Maya called over her shoulder.

"Where were they was looking everywhere for them?"

"Ro's bed, come on bubs, lets go. Mamma should be ready by now. Otherwise we are going to are going to be late and wont be able to take picture's with your friends,"

"Okay, Brodie, Hudson can you move a bit closer to Lucie and Kassidy," Brodie and Hudson's mother, Emma, instructed as the twins moved a bit closer to the other two friends in friend group.

The girls began to laugh as Hudson tripped slightly, when he moved over closer to Lucie. They all continued to laugh as Maya and Carina as well as Brodie and Hudson's mom and dad took pictures of them all Laughing and messing around with one another.

Maya and Carina wondered where Lucie's dad was, but they thought they had a pretty good idea as to what was going on. Over the past six weeks they had spoken to Kassie's social worker and asked about if she would be able to do a home visit to Lucie, however they ended up being told there wasn't much they could do at the moment because her not showing up to school was not a 'cause for concern of the child's wellbeing'. Both Maya and Carina were annoyed by that, but while they were not able to get child protective services to do anything, they did as much as they could. They had had Lucie come over for dinner a lot over the past few weeks, to ensure that she was able to eat more than what the expected was one meal a day, as well as making sure that Kassie brought her in lunches. They had even taken her out when Kassie go her dress and gotten her one too, after finding out that the only dress that she had was the dress that she had worn to her grandmother's funeral and that it didn't even fit her anymore. Lucie very rarely spoke about what her home life was like, but they knew a little bit more now that both Maya and Carina had gotten to know her.
