Chapter Fifty Five

It was two days and many tests before Lucie was able to come home from the hospital, on the day that she came home it was clear that the virus that both the girls had had knocked them down but they were slowly geting back to being themselves and having more energy. Currently both girls were do their own thing, Kassidy was currently drawing while she was sat at the coffee table, while Lucie was sat on the sofa reading her newest book. Both Maya and Carina were currently in their room getting ready for the day, both girls having changed earlier that moring. As the pair go ready they were discussing Lucie's diagnosis, and every thing that has come with that.

"What are we going to do when we are both on shift and she has a seizure? What about when-" Maya rambled as she was getting dressed, her anxiety getting the best of her.

"If it does happen there is a good chance that she will be at school or she will be with someone who knows how to deal with seizures. We will go to the school and talk with them about the fact that Lucie has the seizures and while it is unlikely that she will have one while at school there is still the possibility and they will make sure that she gets the help she needs and we will make sure she has her medication with her if it is needed. But we will also make sure that everyone who looks after the girls knows what to do and how to administer her medication." Carina said as she sat with Maya, trying to ease the blondes anxieties.

Maya nodded and ran her now shoulder length hair.

"Everything will be okay, bambina. We will make sure of it." Carina said, walking over and placing a kiss on her girlfriends head.

"I know," Maya replied, leaning into Carina's embrace.

Once the pair had finished getting ready, they went out to the living room to find the girls doing their own activities.

"Kassie, Lou, can you girls go and get your shoes on and we will get ready to go." Maya said to the girls who both looked up when Maya began to speak to them.

"Yes mom," Kassie replied as she go up to go and get her shoes on.

Lucie looked at Maya and Carina for a moment, seeming to be unsure, the pair watched as she place her book down and stood up and started to try and crack her knuckles and pull at her fingers; the fourteen year old was clearly anxious.

"Lucie? Are you okay, piccola?" Carina asked looking at the girl.

"I'm fine, Mamma," Lucie replied, quickly making her way past her moms and into her rooms to go and get her shoes, so they can leave.

Lucie walked into to hers and Kassidy's shared room, Kassidy quickly picking up on the fact that something is wrong.

"Are you okay, Luce?" Kassidy asked, clearly concerned for one of her best friends and sister.

"I'm fine, Kassie." Lucie responded, now becoming slightly agitated by people asking if she was okay, as this was now becoming a regular thing that to Lucie was now getting slightly annoyining. Lucie was aware of the fact that she wasn't okay, but she didn't want to admit it, she was constantly anxious, which had only seemed to increased since she was sick. She was anxious about the fact that she had made both Maya and Carina worry about her even more than they already do, she was now making Maya worry about her going back to school when the new year starts. She just also had this feeling that something was going to happen, it had been there for the past two days, and she was unsure as to why it was ther or what it was, but the not it had created just never disappeared.

Lucie and Kassidy had both gotten their shoes on and then walked back through to the livingroom where their moms were. Kassidy was walking a head and quickly grabbed hold of Maya's hand, while Lucie hung back sightly.
