Chapter 25

I felt the leather of the black chair pressed tightly against my clothes. My wrist and ankles were restrained leaving nasty deep punctures as I squirmed around. My head had been locked in place leaving just my torso to flail around. Though I was clothed, I felt completely vulnerable, helpless and exposed. Anyone would have thought I was a mental patient awaiting my treatment, but I was simply a mere innocent awaiting my death.

Rattling was heard and I darted my eyes as much as I could to the right. Using my peripheral vision mostly, I noticed a tray. Among the tray laid many unusual tools for my torture. A panic began building, there was absolutely nothing I could do. I couldn't defend myself with the restraints. The man hovered above me with a dropper in his hand filled with unidentifiable liquid. I shut my eyes knowing where it was going to be placed.

"Open your damn eyes." The worker grew frustrated. He finally pried my eyes open and placed three icy drops of the liquid into my eyes before letting me blink. Nothing happened at first. I could see perfectly, then bit by bit the room became fuzzy. The door busted open startling me and that's when I caught the sound of a strange voice.

"Sir, they are relocating her. They have also called for you in a different assignment now." The voice wasn't as intimidating or threating.

"What am I supposed to do with her?" The worker grew agitated.

"I'll send her to the new room don't worry. Just go to your new assignment everything will be taken care of," the new voice said with confidence. A few murmurs were exchanged and then the room became even more blurry. It was becoming difficult to make out shapes and the colors were fading greatly. The door slammed shut and then silence. The rattling noise was back. Suddenly I felt a release of stress on my head now being able to move it.

"Listen to me," the stranger spoke. "You need to trust me okay? I can help." He held his weight above me. And though I could barely see his face, I saw he colors on his uniform which set me off.

My wrist were released followed by my ankles. His hand grazed the small of my back guiding me to sit up. I assumed he wanted me to stand up with the way his body was positioned, but before following his orders I took the chance and swung my fist into his face. The man's head shot back as he let out a groan. Everything went black causing me to stumble around the room. Anxiously, I found a wall allowing it to be my temporary guide. My vision had completely disappeared and once more I was left helpless. I collapsed to the floor seeing nothing except pure blackness.

"Damn it, Blaize." The voice came from behind. I didn't even think twice about who he was, why he was here, or how he knew my name. I just needed to escape and get to Felix. I inched to the wall standing back up. A gentle hand was placed on my arm and before having a second thought I swung down elbowing the stranger in the stomach.

The hand fell off of me and I continued my stumbling around attempting to escape as fast as possible. The texture of the wall changed. It was now cold and smooth. Right as I was about unlatch the door a tremendous amount of weight knocked me to the ground. A pair of cuffs gripped my wrist and he slowly released my body helping me up.

"Let me go!" It wasn't just anger building inside of me it was everything. I was seconds away from escaping when this strange man had tied me up once more. Though it was because of him I had even had the chance, he cuffed me, ruining the tiny bit of trust I was going to give him.

As far as knew he was only here to relocate me to my new death bed. At the same time something else inside of me doubted that he meant harm. His touch was gentle, his voice velvety, and his intentions quite possibly good.
