Chapter 23

We had put up a fight but it had been completely and utterly useless. After taking several of them down with some kicks and punches the workers kept multiplying grasping onto Felix and I.

"Lock em up," a worker smirked then continued, "Better yet throw them into a room." He watched in full contentment as Felix and I were dragged away struggling in their grip.

Each step toward the torture hallway was suspenseful and nerve racking. We turned the final corner stopping three doors down. One worker loosened their grip to pull out a set of keys. My eyes scanned for the plate that stated what type of torture, instantly regretting my decision. Felix trudged further down the hall as I felt my whole body shake.

"Felix!" I cried out. Tears soaked my face while watching Felix thrash about to free himself.

"Blaize!" His voice trembled kicking the workers arm off of him. With his free hand he punched the other square in the jaw. A sense of joy took over for a split second as Felix progressed towards me. My body was lifted into the air. Quickly, I gripped onto the door frame using every bit of my strength.

"Felix hurry!" I shrieked. I kicked my legs around hoping I'd hit one of them.

One worker threw his body onto Felix tackling him to the ground. The other pulled a needle out sedating Felix.

"Felix no!" The door shut and I was soon thrown onto the hard cold tile floors.

I kept my eyes closed attempting to block out any noise. A pair of cold hands touched mine lightly followed by an excruciating pain. Without even looking I knew I was being tied up. The metal door slammed shut silencing the cool room and shutting out the world. Not a sound was made for a seconds and I slowly opened my eyes observing my setting.

White tiles and gray walls. A long counter stretch against the wall in front of me. In the middle was a single sink and below cabinets. I turned myself around using my feet and there rested what I had been expecting. I could feel my face pale up at the sight of it, my stomach dropping nearly making me vomit.

"Well aren't you pretty," the smooth deep voice startled me. I closed his eyes and felt his presence in front of me. "Open your eyes!" He ordered and I did as I was told. The worker stroked my discolored cheeks brushing a strand of misplaced hair of my face.

He was light complected with brown messy hair. Definitely stronger than he looked. His eyes were dark, nearly black, eyes I could never forget. His touch was rough and icy in which I cringed at straining back all the violent words coming from my mind.

"Let me go!" I struggled against the tight ropes scooting further back from the monster that keeled before me. Anger, terror, hate, remorse, all built up inside me.

"Stop moving!" He commanded grabbing a hold of my tied up arms. The man was so close I squirmed against his hands striking him in the face with my foot. He threw my body against the tile cursing loudly. I sat up and spit into his face antagonizing him.

I could see infuriation building through his eyes, "You're going to regret that." And regret I would.
