Chapter 32

I am living in a chaotic world that doesn't make much sense. There's a lack of humanity, not just in my community, but in the world. I can see it. We're hurting the people we love the most and I'm still trying to figure out why that could be. Love comes in many forms, romantic, unconditional and the love in humanity, which is slowly disintegrated every passing second. Everyone has their differences, but we are all the same, we are human. And rather than looking at how we complete one another we choose to look at the negativity thus filling the world with hatred.

There is so much anger and we're directing the hate at each other. It's depressing to see the lack of love, the lack of support, and all together the lack humanity. If we can't give each other the simplest type of love, how can we possibly find the most complex version of it? Then there is also the simple mistake of confusing love with lust. We find ourselves getting hurt time and time again until we're tangled up in our sheets crying, searching frantically on what we did so wrong.

And rather than picking up our own broken pieces, we have those who aren't even interested do the dirty work. It's an endless pattern. We've become so hurt we can't even trust one another. We no longer cross oceans for others because we're afraid to drown. We are wanting others to save us. The reality is that the only person who can take those breaths after drowning is you.

You need to experience every ounce of life. Do the things you want, find the things and the people that bring joy to your life. Take the good with the bad so you can grow even stronger than before. Life may be torturous at points, but it gets better. Don't wait around for that person, because they may never come, and if they do nothing guarantees that they'll stay. That's okay, life has a funny way of working itself out. Take risk, spread love, be happy, do the things you want, surround yourself with inspiring people, love yourself, grow strong, take that breath, because all of it might be taken away in a matter of seconds. I learned that the hard way.

Malakai and I hung around the seventh floor in the lounge area. I sat at one end of the

Sofa my head hanging over the arm. Malakai laid upside down with his feet sprawled in the air. The seventh floor had left me in awe. There were many sections to it including the tattoo and piercing area which I had a feeling I'd be visiting a few times while I was here.

The lounge area itself was remarkable. It was similar to Atrix's office with the painted walls and freedom of expression all over it. The colors ranged from all spectrums of the rainbow and everything in between. There wasn't any limits to these walls.

"I just got a message from Atrix," Malakai said interrupting my concentration. I was in the middle of reading a poem written in paint as red as blood. "We have to grab a file from his office and bring it to him."

"Okay," I responded not taking my eyes off a bird outlined in black. Various pinks and greens filled only half of the supple creature with colors texturized as a water painting. This was no longer simple graffiti, it was art.

We staggered up to his office. Malakai unlocked the door and once more I was mesmerized with the work. As Malakai unlocked a few filing cabinets searching for some particular documents, I gazed at the art studying every aspect of it and read the words that flowed so perfectly. Some of the words written were violent and others spoke of elegance.

"People have some real talent here," Malakai spoke over his shoulder.

"No kidding." I gently grazed the dried brush strokes.

"Do you know who Bansky is?"

"He sounds familiar," I replied as Malakai watched me attentively.
