Always You

Chapter 1

Have you ever thought of having a soulmate? The one person who you trust most in the world... well, I never thought about this until everything changed on my sixteen's birthday. Our story begins in LA, California a young couple moves into a new house across the street; the little girl runs upstairs to the bedroom saying happily, "mommy, I want to have this bedroom." Leah comes upstairs saying, "Holly sweetheart, that will be mommy and daddy's room." The doorbell rings as Leah opens the door to see a familiar face holding a hamper basket saying, "Lee, is that you?." Leah smiles and hugs replying, "aww Andy, it's been so many years...." Leah sees a little boy beside Andrea asking, "and who is this handsome guy?." Andrea answers, "This is my son, Declan." Leah says, "it's nice to meet you, Declan why don't you go upstairs and play with my daughter Holly?." Declan heads upstairs while Leah puts on the kettle and the two friends have a catchup. Declan comes into the room to see Holly watching 'Pingu.' Holly looks at Declan asking, "who are you?." Declan introduces himself while Holly smiles and offers her hand before opening a box and taking out a bag of 'marshmallow popcorn.' Declan and Holly share the snack while watching 'Pingu' just as Andrea calls, "Declan, come on honey time to go." Holly says, "I will miss you, Dec." Declan says, "I only live across the street, I hope we can be best friends like our mom." 

Holly nods, gives him the rest of the marshmallow popcorn and he leaves. Leah soon comes upstairs to help Holly set up her new bedroom. A few months later Leah starts school and meets Matilda whom she nicknames her 'Tilly.' Declan and Holly grow up together and share a close bond. Soon it was her fifteen birthday Declan brings Holly to the beach as they had a swimming race. Declan says, "you can't beat me, Holls!," Holly fights back and swims faster beating Declan to the beach as she cheers happily saying, "yes, I won!." Declan comes closer to Holly and pins her down on the sand as they look into each other's eyes; Holly runs her hands down Declan's abs as he says, "don't tempt me, Holl." Holly has a twinkle in her eyes as she smiles at Declan who then kisses her, she wraps her arms around him deepening their kiss. Holly thinks, 'mine and Declan's friendship has developed since we were kids, we have grown up and become more intimate.' As they lay together on the sand looking at the sky; Holly says, "Dec, I want you to promise me something." Declan turns to her saying, "anything...." Holly says, "promise me we will always be best friends forever." Declan says, "I promise Holls, best friend forever." Declan wraps his hands around Holly pulling her into a warm embrace, However soon it was Holly sixteen's birthday in which he planned something special for her; Holly looks at the candles and rose petals asking, "Dec, what is all this?." 

Declan plays some music and replies, "can I ask the birthday girl for a dance?." As they dance, Holly feels herself growing closer to Declan wondering, 'could this be our special night? taking our friendship to the next level?.' Declan brings Holly to the bed as she lays beside him and strokes his face. Declan moves in closer as Holly says, "I want you, Dec." Declan smiles and caresses her cheek gently saying, "as you wish, Holls." In that night, Holly gave everything to Declan unaware that the next morning Declan soon left without a reason. The summer soon passed as it was almost time to start back at college for a new semester. As Holly slept peacefully in her bed she was soon awaken by a gentle touch on her cheek thinking, 'this feels so soft and gentle....' Holly opened her eyes and was stunned by what she saw.
