Always You

Chapter 2

A little black and white kitten purrs happily on the bed as Holly gets up saying, "Tiddles, you woke me up." Leah soon called, "Holly are you up, yet?." Holly cuddles Tiddles, puts him on the floor and he soon leaves. She comes over to the window thinking, 'living next to your ex is a special kind of torture... I have not seen Declan all summer and I won't let him bring me down.' Declan was with a girl flirting near his window as Holly rolled her eyes and headed to the bathroom to freshen up. She changed into a white blouse and blue jeans before brushing her hair and heading downstairs to see her mom cooking breakfast. Leah was by the stove frying pancakes just as Holly says, "Good morning, mom." Leah turns around and looks at Holly with her eyes red and puffy; Holly looks at her mom's facial expression and immediately senses something is wrong thinking, 'why does it look like mom has been crying?.' Leah finishes cooking and brings the plate over saying, "Good morning, Holly are you carpooling with Declan today?." Holly takes a few bites of the pancake before replying, "mom... you know we hate each other now, right? Beside I am more than capable of driving myself." Leah smiles saying, "of course you are, sweetie! I just figured you would want to be with Declan... you two are inseparable." Holly sighs thinking, 'well, not anymore....' Tiddles comes downstairs just as Leah heads to the living room and brings back a small giftbox asking, "why don't you take this present?." Holly was curious as she opened the box to find a pair of keys replying excitedly, "don't tell me mom, this is the key to dad's new sports car? Why isn't he driving it?." Leah says, "your dad won't be using it very much for the next week.... but we can talk more about this over dinner later tonight." Holly drinks her juice before hugging Leah saying, "sounds good, love you mom! love you Tiddles... see you later." 

Meanwhile outside, Declan says to Emilia, "I had a fun night, I will call you." Emilia giggles saying, "great, you had better... I'll be waiting." Holly opens the garage and sees her old car along with a black sports car; Emilia and Declan see Holly as Emilia says, "ew, thank god you ditched Holly... her car is an embarrassment." Holly opens the door to the sports car, slides in and adjust the seat; the cool leather seat feels smooth on her skin as she starts the engine thinking with a smile, 'now this is a sweet ride.' Holly soon pulls up beside Declan and Emilia who both look at her in the sports car; Declan compliments Holly's car saying, "woah, nice car, Holly.. have you got room for one more?." Holly puts the window down saying, "that depends... are you still an asshole?." Declan replies, "LOL, very funny.. looks like someone has their panties in a twist." Holly says, "my panties have nothing to do with you." She drives off leaving Emilia irritated and Declan swooning over her. She soon reaches the college as Matilda sees her entering and comes over asking, "where have you been, Holly?." 

Holly replies, "rough morning, Tilly....." Matilda says, "uh oh, let me take a guess, was it Declan Kane?." Holly replies, "always." Matilda says, "well I suggest you snap out of it... because here comes your boyfriend." Just then a guy comes over in a football uniform saying, "hey babe, I missed you." Holly says, "aww I missed you too, Jase...." They share a hug unaware that Matilda looks sad; Jason asks, "so you ok, Holly?." Matilda says, "Declan trouble." Holly says stunned, "Tilly!." Holly says, "I don't want to talk about him." Jason says, "I really don't think your relationship with Declan is healthy." Matilda says, "I agree with Jason." Holly glares at Matilda who then says, "that is because you agree with everything Jason says." Matilda says, "hey! that's not true." Holly rolls her eyes saying, "whatever, I will catch you guys later." She comes inside and heads over to her locker grabbing her books thinking, 'ugh, I can't force myself to be nice when I am feeling like this....' As she slams her locker, her phone beeps as she sees a message from Declan.
