Always You

Chapter 6

Declan texts her, 'are you jealous, Holls? this is what you are missing out on.' He sends her a picture as Holly texts, 'I don't want to see it.' She puts her phone back in her bag as Jason turns to her asking, "you ok, babe?." Holly replies, "yep, all good." They both watch the movie as Declan texts, 'Holly, you there? Holls?.' Holly doesn't reply and tries focusing on the movie just as Jason places a hand on her thigh and slowly moves it up her leg... Holly is nervous thinking, 'Jason's been trying to have sex with me for months.. he's a great boyfriend but I just can't.' Holly slaps Jason's hand away saying, "can you stop?." Jason stops and turns to her answering, "sorry, you ok?." Holly nods saying, "yeah, I am just not in the mood." Soon after the movie there was a slight awkwardness between the two of them until Jason breaks the silence saying, "I will drive you home, it's late." Holly worries thinking, 'crap, he cannot see where I am staying.' Holly says, "I am fine with walking." Jason laughs asking, "are you crazy? I am not letting you walk home alone at midnight; come on babe I will drive you home." They soon reach her house as Jason asks, "are you mad at me or something, Holly?." Holly replies, "no, look I am just very tired." Jason sighs frustrated while Holly says, "I will see you at college tomorrow, ok." Jason says, "fine, come here." Jason pulls her closer and gives her a gentle kiss on her forehead and says, "babe I will wait outside until you make it in safe." Holly's eyes shift uneasily towards Declan's house saying, "Jase... um.... that's so sweet.. thanks, but you have already done so much tonight." Jason says, "of course babe, I am your boyfriend and that's my job... you can make all the excuses you want, Holly but I know there's something you are not telling me, whatever it is...I just hope I don't hear it from someone else." 

Jason soon leaves while Holly thinks, 'now back to Declan's house.' She headed to the bathroom and had a bubble bath along with a facial thinking, 'damn, today has been so exhausting.' Holly changes into her nightie and slumps into her bed just as a soft snoring startles her; she lifts her blanket and underneath Declan is fast asleep. Declan is snoring as Holly asks, "what are you doing in my bed?!." Declan wakes up replying, "sorry, Holly... I guess I fell asleep waiting for you, I will go now and let you get some rest." Declan gives her a longing look while Holly blushes wondering, 'I can't believe Declan was so sweet to wait up for me.....' She smiles saying, "no, stay with me... please just for tonight, I want it to be like old times." Declan smiles saying, "ok, then I will stay, we can do whatever you want, Holls." Holly comes closer, slowly moves her face toward Declan and kisses him. Declan closes his eyes and lets out a deep sigh that sends shivers through her body. Declan says, "I want to forget, Holls.. just for tonight." Holly was confused asking, "what do you mean, Dec?." Declan replies, "I want to forget what happened between us, just lay here and pretend we are fifteen again." 

Holly's face looks sad as she tries to do it, forget that Declan left and also forgot why he never mentioned the reason for leaving however she is not able to do this. Holly says, "Declan?." Declan pulls Holly closer and wraps his arms around her saying, "Good night, Holls." Holly says, "Good night, Dec." The next morning Declan is sleeping the other side as Holly wakes up thinking, 'I need to get out of here... being this close to Declan is messing with my head.' Declan turns saying, "morning gorgeous." Holly wonders, 'all I want to do is wrap myself around him and never let go... why can't I just let myself be happy without him? even at the best time of my life, I am never as happy as I was with Declan.' Before Holly had time to react Declan came closer to try and kiss her however Holly's mind instantly awoke thinking, 'oh God, what am I doing?!.' She pushes Declan and gets out of bed, he says shocked, "wait! Holly!."
