Chapter 19

Declan's lips curve into a mischievous smile and his eyes brighten with excitement asking, "are you down for a little adventure, Holls?". A few hours later they reach the rival college as Declan says, "here's the plan, I'm going to break into their locker room and take back the jersey". Lewis says, "NOOOO!." Justin says, "bro, if you get caught, you won't be able to play in the game!". Lewis says, "we need our captain!." Declan says, "but we also need to get them back, imagine how they'd feel if we stole their lucky trophy?". Justin says, "their captain Mike would lose his shit". Holly says, "then I'll go." Declan looked stunned asking, "are you sure, Holly? I can't let you risk getting caught." Holly says, "it's really sweet you care so much for me." Justin says, "dang, Holly's a BOSS!." Lewis says, "they will never see this coming!." Holly soon sneaks into the locker room wondering, 'if I were a jersey, where would I be?'. She soon spots it however suddenly; she hears the sound of footsteps coming from around the corner. Mike says, "I'll start getting the bags together, coach!". Holly hides in a closet thinking, 'phew, that was close'. Suddenly she hears another voice call out from the distance; Jack says, "guys, hit the showers!." Holly thinks, 'oh god, the rest of the team is about to come in.... I need to grab that jersey and get out NOW...Declan is counting on me'. As the guys leave for the shower, she comes out and grabs it before seeing the trophy; she takes the trophy and puts it in her bag smiling . Mike comes there saying, "hey, you can't take that! that trophy's won us twelve championships!". Holly winks playfully saying, "watch me, boys!". She runs out of the college and into Declan's car as he drives off; Lewis says, "that was SO sick, Holly!". 

Declan says, "we're gonna kill this game, all thanks to you". The next day is the match as Declan leads his team to victory before noticing Holly watching on the side-lines; he runs over to her, lifts her in his arms and kisses her passionately. Later that evening Declan does a video call with Holly saying, "good evening to my gorgeous date, so excited to walk into the dance with you on my arm". Holly says, "me too! Why are you calling me from the other room?". Declan winks replying, "to keep the- mystery- alive! I got all dressed up just for you, I was hoping we could match! You could be the Queen to my King." Holly blushes seeing Declan in a black/blue tux as she goes to the wardrobe taking out a silver dress thinking, 'this goes perfectly with Declan's tux! tonight, is going to be magical!'. After getting ready she comes downstairs as Declan sees her saying, "Holls... you look perfect!". Declan looks her up and down, his eyes widen with wonder. He says, "you have actually left me speechless, babe". Holly giggles, "that's a first." Tiddles miaows as Holly goes over and pours some treats before giving him a cuddle and kiss. Declan soon comes over and takes Holly's hand saying, "I can't wait to show you off tonight, babe". They are about to kiss however the doorbell rings as Holly asks, "who's that? are you expecting anyone, Declan?". Declan replies, "nope, I have no idea...". He opens the door to see Emilia asking, "Emilia?! What are you doing here?." Emilia replies, "did you forget, Declan? I'm your date for the dance." Holly is stunned by Emilia's word as she looks at her coldly; Emilia points angrily, "ugh, what is SHE doing here?". Holly replies, "me?? I'm his GIRLFRIEND, bitch!". Emilia rolls her eyes saying, "if that's what you tell yourself.... you're going DOWN!." Declan says, "WOAH, Emilia, let's take this outside". 

Declan takes Emilia outside as they talk down the road; Holly comes out seeing them thinking, 'this is not cool, I have no idea what's going on, what if they are making out?!'. Holly immediately heads inside grabbing her phone and texts Declan, 'um, Declan? what's going on out there?!'. Declan sends a photo as Holly sends angry emojis response. Holly waits while stroking Tiddles who is playing with a rubber ball just as Declan comes back inside saying, "I'm so sorry, Holls." Holly asks, "that's the girl you were hooking up with over the summer, right?". Declan replies, "she goes to Stormrider, it was nothing serious, she invited me to prom, and I possibly said yes... I was so heartbroken over you... I wasn't myself." Holly says, "I'm the one you want, right?". Declan replies, "of course! No question or doubt... I'm so sorry, Holls let's give you the perfect prom you deserve".
