Always You

Chapter 20

They head to prom as everyone watches them enter; one of the girls says, "wow, they look SO good together." The other girl beside her says, "I'm so jealous, right now." Holly looks around at the lights and everyone partying as she spots a photographer. Holly excitedly says, "omg, CUTE! A photo memory booth!." Declan turns to her smiling saying, "let's go do it, babe." Holly was surprised with a cheeky grin saying, "really? Declan Kane doesn't think it's too cheesy?." Declan laughs replying, "hell no, babe not if you're into it... beside we're official now". He takes her hand and kisses it whilst she blushes before he says, "I want to post the perfect picture on my Instagram feed for everyone to see". They head over and pose as the photographer says, "ok say homecoming! You guys make a gorgeous couple." He takes a few snaps before Declan says, "thanks but it's all down to her." Holly turns to Declan says, "ok now, let's do one.. kissing." She pulls him into a passionate kiss as the photographer puts his camera down asking, "um, hello you can both stop now?." They both stop to catch their breath as Declan posts the picture of them kissing; Declan says, "this is perfect, now there's no confusion as to who my girl is". Holly says, "damn straight, Dec." Declan says, "you make me so happy, Holls". They soon go over to get some drinks while watching the couple dance as a familiar face approaches them. Matilda says, "hey bestie!." Holly sees Matilda wearing a long black dress with silver beads saying, "you look beautiful, Tilly!." Matilda says, "thanks... you look prettier, and I feel like a big whale, who is ever going to want to dance with ME?". 

Declan replies, "I will, with pleasure." Holly turns and takes Declan hands saying, "I've got the sweetest boyfriend." Just then there is a loud bang as the music stops and everyone sees the incoming outsiders; one of the girl says, "it's the Eagle Stormriders!!." Holly notices Emilia along with two other guys wondering, 'OMG, Emilia is the captain's GIRLFRIEND?.' Declan asks, "what the hell are you doing here, Elliot?." Elliot replies, "heard you came and stole your jersey....." Declan says, "you mean, the thing that was stolen from ME?." Elliot says, "you never deserved it in the first place, we want our trophy back, NOW!". Declan replies, "yeah, that's.... not gonna happen." Elliot comes over and shoves Declan who says, "back off man...." Holly steps in saying, "LEAVE! NOW! you're NOT welcome here." Mike says, "watch yourself, Holly!." Declan says, "or WHAT?!." The DJ says, "hey, hey let's calm down out there if you wanna get physical... I know a way to settle this...." Declan asks, "how?." The DJ replies, "a dance off!." Holly wonders for a moment as she sees Declan and Mike looking at each other with cold expressions. Mike says, "I will crush and destroy you!." Declan says, "I doubt that!." He takes Emilia's hand to the dance floor as Declan says, "would you care to dance with me, Holls?". Holly takes his hand as they comes on the dance floor; Emilia scowls at Holly who rolls her eyes. Mike says, "loser has to give back whatever they stole AND throw a party for the winner". The crowd watches as Declan confidently says, "hope you're good at party planning, Mikey!". 

The DJ plays some tune as Mikey spins and dances with Emilia with Elliot cheering them on. Declan and Holly dance to the rhythm of the beat as the crowd cheers for them. Matilda says, "YOU'VE GOT THIS, BESTIE!." The DJ changes the tune as Holly has an idea asking, "remember the dance we did in high school, babe?." Declan replies, "how could I ever forget, babe?." Holly pulls him closer saying, "let's do this!." Holly removes her shoes as Declan removes his jacket and pulls her closer to the stage lifting her and dipping her while they floss and recreate some famous moves. The crowd cheers in anticipation declaring, "WINNER! WINNER! WINNER!." Emilia and Mike watch them both angrily as Declan and Holly soon finish with a smile on their face. Mike asks, "no fair, when did you guys have time to practise that?." Declan replies, "eight years ago, but we have done a lot of growing up since then". Holly smiles saying, "we definitely have." They share a kiss as Elliot says, "ew, get a room!." All three of them run off as the crowd cheers for Declan and Holly; the DJ starts the music again as Declan says, "come with me, Holls."
