Chapter 14

Soon after the game, Holly comes to the parking lot to find Declan waiting for her; he holds her close and shares a kiss saying, "you look beautiful, Holls." Holly says, "you were fantastic out there, Dec." Declan says, "Holly, there is something I need to say to you." Holly says, "ok...." Declan says, "what happened really threw me, I don't want to wish I had done things differently." Holly was confused asking, "Declan, what are you saying?." Declan answers, "I am saying I want you to be my girlfriend, Holls.. for real." Holly was stunned by Declan's words before saying, "yes, Declan... if you promise not to leave me again, I don't think I could handle another heartbreak." Declan says, "I am not the guy I was back then; I would never put you through that again." He comes closer to her as she blushes at him happily he says, "you don't know how happy this makes me, Holls." They share a kiss before he says, "we should go to the bonfire together, to celebrate." Holly asks, "you think so?." Declan replies, "it's a post-game tradition and I want my girl there with me." Holly takes Declan's hand, and they soon head over to the bonfire; Emilia sees them and comes over saying, "hey, Declan." Declan turns to her saying, "oh, umm... hey Emilia." Holly is not too happy thinking, 'ugh, not that bitch that Declan was hooking up with.' Emilia says, "you looked really hot out there on the field." Declan says, "thanks." Emilia bats her eyelashes saying sweetly, "I could really use a drink.... Holly could you get some beer?." 

Declan says, "no, it's ok I will get it." He leaves as Holly says, "um, excuse me...you look so desperate right now, stop flirting with my boyfriend! He doesn't appreciate you bossing his girlfriend around." Emilia rolls her eyes saying, "you must be kidding me! girlfriend? as if! We all know Declan Kane doesn't settle down, I have hooked up with him once, and I will do it again." She winks before leaving just as Declan comes back with the drinks saying, "sorry about her, babe, she's very... persistent." Holly says, "she needs to back off!." Declan has an idea and removes his jacket saying, "hey, why don't you take this, Holls? if you wear it then everyone will know you're my girl." Holly thinks, 'this means that Emilia will leave Declan alone....' Holly takes it smiling replying, "of course, I will wear your jacket Declan, I love that you want to show me off." She wears it asking, "so how do I look, Dec?." Declan gives her a beaming smile making her blush answering, "you look perfect, babe." They soon come over to everyone as one of the guys named Lewis says, "ooh Holly's wearing the letterman jacket." Justin says, "we all know what that means." Lewis raises his drink saying, "cheers to Holly and Declan! the college's hottest couple." Everybody raises a toast as Nadiya comes over saying, "you guys are adorable!." Holly thanks her as Declan says, "we should take a picture together, Holls." He holds the camera to do a selfie as Holly kisses his cheek; he checks the photo saying, "this looks so good!." He adds it onto his Instagram tagging, 'won the game, but the real prize is hanging with my girl @Hollsthebest.' 

Holly looks at it saying, "I agree, it was too cute not too post." She reposts it on her Instagram story tagging, '@Decthefootie is my forever fav.' Declan is surprised saying, "I get to be on Holly's story? I am honoured." He kisses her cheek as Nadiya says, "everyone gather around, it's time to play hide and seek!." Matilda says, "ugh, are we really still doing that?." Declan replies, "hell yeah, we are! It's tradition." Emilia says, "guys hide, girls seek... losers have to streak across the football field." Emilia winks at Declan making Holly feel angry. Lewis says, "it's on!." Declan says, "you're going down, Holly." Holly replies, "oh really? You don't wanna see me streak?." Declan says, "hmmm, when you put it that way....." Declan wiggles his eyebrows, his lips turning up into a flirty grin. He winks at her saying, "good luck, Holls." Holly turns to see Matilda in a deep thought wondering, 'what's up with her?.' The game begins as soon the girls find the boys one by one; Nadiya says, "I found Jason!." Soon everyone is accounted for however Matilda says, "nice! That's everyone except Declan." Justin says, "ugh, the girls are killing us." Holly says with a smirk, "better start stripping boys." Lewis says, "nah, you only have ten minutes left, you will never find Declan." Emilia says, "we'll see about that." Just then Holly's phone beeps as she sees a message from Declan, 'you're almost out of time, Holls!.' Holly texts back, 'hey! wanna give me a hint?.' Declan texts, 'hmm... maybe if you really wanna know where I am hiding... I'm at the old wishing well, come join me... we have got five minutes of alone time.' Holly sneaks off and heads into the wood near the well where Declan is.
