Always You

Chapter 7

Holly changes her dress as Declan asks, "Jesus! why are you running?." Holly turns back replying, "why did you almost kiss me?." Declan answers, "because I wanted to." Holly says, "well you can't because I have a boyfriend." Declan says, "I bet he doesn't even know we are living together." Holly says, "no, so I would appreciate it if you kept your mouth shut." Declan asks, "you have not TOLD him? what are you afraid of?". Holly thinks, 'I almost forgot how infuriating he can be!.' Holly replies angrily, "none of your goddamn business." Declan asks, "are you sure about that, Holls? there is a reason you are keeping this a secret?." Holly replies, "you really want me to tell Jason about this?." Declan says, "maybe I do...." Declan places his hand on Holly's waist and gives her a tight squeeze saying, "maybe I don't... just admit it Holls, you still have feelings for me." Declan leans in, his lips inches from Holly who closes the space between them and throws herself into a passionate kiss. She feels a rush of pleasure as Declan pulls her in closer, deepening their kiss. Holly soon pulls apart as her heart and mind are both racing with desire. She says, "of course, I still have feelings for you, Declan." Declan smiles saying, "good, because I never stopped caring about you, Holly." Holly says, "god, Declan.... why the hell did you end things? Why did you leave me all this time?." Declan answers, "I told you it's complicated, but I will explain everything, soon." 

Holly says, "how do you expect me to believe anything you say?." Declan says, "I need you to trust me, Holls because-." Holly says, "because what, Declan?." Declan says, "because once upon a time you were my best friend." Holly felt those words sting her heart and turned around so that he doesn't see the tears threatening to fall down her cheeks. Holly then angrily turns to him asking, "then why did you leave me? after I gave you everything?." Declan replies, "it's not that simple...." Holly turns away angrily saying, "ugh, you make me feel like I am losing my mind, Declan! I can't stay here anymore!." She runs downstairs and comes out into the street as she hears Declan's voice calling her, "Holly, wait!." Holly turns back to see Declan saying, "Declan, I can't—". Declan eyes widen as he screams, "HOLLY, WATCH OUT!!." Holly turns as she sees the incoming car which hits her and then everything goes black. A few moments later at the hospital Holly was still unconscious as Declan sat beside her thinking tearfully, 'Holls... you still look beautiful even when you're in a hospital bed... how did everything get so messed up... I mean how did I mess everything up? if I didn't make a move and I had been able to control myself.... perhaps you would never have gotten hurt... all I know is that I can't live without you... you better wake up soon.' Declan falls asleep next to her as a few hour pass, Holly soon wakes up just as Doctor Kane comes in saying, "there's our patient! Finally awake!." Holly thinks, 'Declan's dad?.' Holly gets up saying, "Doctor Kane... what... what's going on?." Doctor Kane says, "you were in an accident, Holly... Declan rushed you here,,, thank god I was on call, you have some minor stitches and you're going to be fine." 

Holly looks at Declan beside her asking, "Declan.... you have been here the whole time?." Declan answers, "I didn't want to leave you." Holly says, "well you already left me once." Declan says, "I know, and I would do anything to take it back." Doctor Kane says, "well, if you had been doing your job, Holly wouldn't be here in the first place." Holly says, "he's not my babysitter....." Doctor Kane says, "it was completely irresponsible... typical Declan.. only ever thinking about himself and his needs." Declan says, "dad...." Doctor Kane says, "don't try and excuse yourself, Declan, you were playing one of your stupid games, chasing Holly around.... and you nearly got her killed! you and I are going to have a long talk about this later." Holly thinks, 'oh my god, he's really mad at Declan, all Declan wants is for his dad to respect him.' Holly says, "wait! Doctor Kane, you have it all wrong, Declan wasn't chasing me, I was the impulsive one, I went running out of the house and he tried to stop me! Declan would never ever put me in danger." Declan says surprised, "Holls....."
