Always You

Chapter 3

Holly opens the message from Declan which says, 'hey.' Holly texts back saying, 'oh, it's you.. the last person I want to talk to.' Declan texts her saying, 'you don't mean that, look there is something I really need to tell you.' Holly texts back, 'what?.' Declan texts back, 'it's too awkward to type, it's really important that you listen to this, Holly.' He does a voice recording however Holly doesn't listen to it and texts, 'no thanks, I have heard enough.' Declan tries to explain and arranges a meeting however Holly declines saying, 'sorry, but I have to get to class.' Declan texts her, 'ok... well.. let's talk after college, ok?.' Holly rolls her eyes, leaves Declan on read and heads to class. The rest of the day goes by quickly as later that afternoon Holly strides over to the parking lot just as a familiar person grabs her asking, "in a rush, babe?." Holly sees Jason smiling at her as she says, "oh... hey Jase...I am just going to head to the gym, you know to blow off some steam...." Jason asks flirtingly, "how about this to blow off some steam?." Jason pins Holly against the car and leans in as she smiles at him however she soon spots Declan walking to his car. Holly notices Declan has his arms around some brunette as she feels his eyes looking in her direction. Hannah says, "hey! stop staring at Holly... look at ME." Hannah pulls Declan to face her while Holly turns to Jason winking playfully, "totally babe." 

She kisses Jason warmly and notices that even without looking up, Declan's eyes are looking at her. Holly stops for a moment and gives Declan a sharp glare as he turns to Hannah saying, "hey, I just remembered I need to do something tonight, I will catch up with you later." Hannah asks stunned, "what? I thought you said you could spend time with me." Declan replies, "I am not in the mood anymore." Declan turns back to look at Holly as Hannah stomps her foot annoyed saying angrily, "ugh, you're a dickhead, Declan!." Declan gets into his car driving off while Hannah heads back inside, Jason heads to football practice and Holly smiles thinking, 'damn, I am definitely feeling much better.' Later that evening Holly came to find Tiddles waiting for her on the stairs; Holly fed Tiddles and gave him a cuddle before heading into the kitchen where Leah was cooking dinner. Holly heard the faint sobs coming from her mother and said, "mom? oh my god, mom are you ok?." Holly came over and comforted Leah who turns towards Holly replying, "oh sweetie, I didn't want you to see me like this." Holly makes her mom sit down, gives her a tissue, and takes her hand assuring her before asking, "mom, what is going ON?." Leah takes a deep breath before answering, "your dad and I are going away for a little while... to try and fix things." Holly was a little confused saying, "you mean... fix your relationship with each other?." Leah nods saying, "yes and if me and Vance can't... we will be separating or even divorce." Holly was stunned asking, "wait, what about me??." Leah replies, "of course your dad and I are not comfortable with you living home by yourself... you will be moving in with the Kane family... tonight." 

Holly was shocked by her mom's words. Holly says, "no way, mom! why am I going to live with Declan?." Leah replies, "sweetie it's just temporary." Soon after dinner, Leah helped Holly packed her clothes while Holly took care of Tiddles saying, "of course I will not leave without you." Tiddles purrs happily in Holly's arm as they soon head over to the Kane's Residence. Holly rings the bell as Andrea says, "Holly, darling I have prepared the guest room for you." Holly heads upstairs while Leah says, "thanks Andy." Andrea hugs Leah saying, "good luck Lee, you will be ok." Leah soon got into the car which drove away; back upstairs Holly had a quick shower and went to bed while Tiddles went downstairs. Soon in the middle of the night, Declan came downstairs to the kitchen and made himself a hot chocolate, he saw a shadow figure and was about to attack it just as the light turned on and saw it was Tiddles. Declan says, "Tiddles, you scared me."
