🌿🍃

One month later -

The sun was bright, but the humidity lay gentle over the campus, where laughter and chatter echoed in lively bursts from all corners. You could hear the clatter of desks opening and closing, the P.E. teacher's sharp instructions—sounds that filled the university's wide corridors like a familiar, constant hum.

Removed from these usual rhythms, Jimin sat alone on the railing of the first floor, perched in one of the most secluded, serene spots on campus. He gazed straight ahead, eyes fixed on the endless sky, lost in a quiet thoughtfulness that made him feel worlds away from the life teeming below.

"This is so hard"

He mumbled, gripping the railing on which he was sitting. He scrunched his nose when a huge wave of wind blew past him.

He softly hugged himself, few tears slipping past his pretty long lashes. His ears perked up when he heard some footsteps nearing him ,so he quickly wiped away his tears.

"Jimin."

The aforementioned didn't respond, his eyes fixed somewhere distant, as if the weight of the call to his name hadn't reached him.

"..."

"I got my application approved by the dean," The another person continued, his tone soft but steady. "We can leave now."

Jimin blinked slowly but didn't move, his fingers clutching the edge of the railing. The silence between them grew heavier with every passing second.

"..."

"Jimin," The taller man pressed gently, stepping closer. "Are you hesitating? It was your decision, after all."

Jimin's shoulders tensed at the words. His lips parted, but his voice caught in his throat before he managed to speak.

"T-Taehyung," he murmured, his voice trembling as he finally turned to meet the taller's gaze. His chest rose and fell unevenly, a clear sign of the storm within him. "Do you think I'm doing the right thing?"

Taehyung let out a long sigh, dragging a hand through his hair. His eyes fell to the ground, avoiding Jimin's searching stare. The moment lingered, thick with unspoken doubts, before he shook his head slightly, his expression shadowed with quiet resignation.

"It's your life, Jimin. Its very complicated. If the situation was something else then I could've stopped you but currently, even if I stop you, we both know it's not gonna work at all."

Hearing this, Jimin nodded immediately.

"Yeah... It's not gonna work. I've my future ahead and even if I somehow manage to do this, there is no bright future for the kid."  Jimin muttered.

Being an young man who is just in university and getting pregnant is something which he had never planned but carrying his own sibling's kid is so absurd.

He and Taehyung were not lovers; they never had been, and they never would be. The thought of a child between them was unthinkable, a future steeped in complications and shame. Even if Jimin dared to keep the child, it would only make everything unbearably awkward—fracturing his family, tarnishing their name.

Males rarely conceived, but Jimin was a hybrid, and fate had decided to make him an exception. The very idea of hiding this from the world felt suffocating, a burden heavier than he could carry. Who would want a child born not of love but of a mistake—an unfortunate night that both wished they could erase?

That night, unplanned and reckless, was the single most cursed moment in both their lives.

When Jimin first discovered he was pregnant, fear gripped him like a vice. He could barely breathe as the weight of reality sank in. Anxiety consumed him to the point of near collapse, leaving him trembling and desperate for a way out.
