The next day, all of the students were gathered on the beach for the much-awaited sea sports activities.

The sun was already up, bright and blazing, casting shimmering patterns on the restless waves. The shoreline was buzzing with students in neon life jackets and rolled-up sleeves, their excited voices rising above the crashing surf. Instructors in sporty windbreakers were setting up parasailing ropes, jet skis, banana boats, and boards of all shapes and sizes. It was the kind of morning that smelled of sunblock, wet sand, and anticipation.

Jimin stood barefoot in the sand, his arms slightly outstretched as he turned to Taehyung. His hair was messy from the salty breeze, his eyes glowing under his sunglasses. "I can't believe we're actually doing this," he said with a half-disbelieving laugh.

Taehyung, beside him, looked like he was about to burst with energy. His grin stretched ear to ear as he fastened his life jacket and shook his damp curls out of his eyes. "Are you kidding me? I've been dreaming about this since the itinerary came out."

Behind them, a few of their classmates were already screaming in glee, bouncing across the water on the banana boat. "YAAAAH!" came a shriek from Jungkook as the boat took a sharp turn and flung him into the water with a dramatic splash.

"Oh my god," Jimin muttered, wide-eyed. "Did you see that?"

"Legendary," Taehyung said with a slow nod, eyes gleaming. "That's gonna be us in five minutes."

"No, thank you," Jimin deadpanned, backing away slightly. "I plan to survive this trip with all bones and pride intact."

Taehyung elbowed him playfully. "Too late to back out, Kim Jimin. We signed up for the banana boat and jet ski. We're not here to dip our toes in like cowards."

The other male let out a dramatic sigh but allowed himself to be pulled forward. "Fine, but if I die, I'm haunting you."

"Deal," Taehyung said, already marching ahead like a soldier leading them into glorious chaos.

They lined up with a small group of students, most of whom were practically vibrating with excitement. Hoseok was hyping everyone up, jumping in place. "Come on, scream if you're ready to fall into the ocean!"

A chorus of excited shouts erupted, including Taehyung's exaggerated war cry. Jimin just raised his hand halfway, chuckling, "I'm more emotionally ready than physically ready, but let's go."

As the banana boat bobbed just off the shore, tethered to a speedboat humming nearby, Taehyung turned to Jimin. "You hold on tight, okay? Wrap your arms around me if it gets too wild."

Jimin scoffed. "If I hold you, we're both falling into the water. Don't flatter yourself."

They climbed aboard, legs stretched out awkwardly, gripping the side ropes. As the engine roared to life, the boat jerked forward and the banana inflated beneath them lifted, skipping across the water like a yellow missile.

Screams broke the calm sea air instantly.

"TAEHYUNG, YOU SAID THIS WOULD BE FUN—" Jimin shrieked, voice breaking with a mix of terror and laughter as the boat soared over a wave, sending their group airborne for a second before slamming back down with a splash.

Taehyung was howling beside him, gripping the rope like his life depended on it. "IT IS FUN!"

Jimin couldn't hold back his laughter. The salt water sprayed in his face, his hair was sticking to his forehead, and yet he felt electric — like everything was brighter, faster, and utterly alive.

Then came the sharp turn.

In one synchronized moment of chaos, the boat jerked, the banana twisted, and—splash!
