Charlie's pov:
As clover is walking out the door i hand her some pepper spray in case something happens she thanks me and runs out the door. It's just nick and I!!
Nick asked me out a date night and at first i was hesitant because i didn't want weird looks all night but as i thought about it I agreed.
He said we are going to dinner and he has 2 other fun surprises after. I ask him where we are going and he tells me it's a surprise. But to dress in a nicer shirt and pants.
I put on my favorite tight black sweater that actually fits past my belly, maternity jeans, and of course my nicer white converse. Nick has a golf shirt, khaki pants, and nice white vans.
We may be grown adults but honestly still dress like uni students.
When we are all ready nick is downstairs packing a bag.
Charlie: "What are you packing?"
Nick: "Your mum"
I roll my eyes knowing he won't tell me.
Charlie: "You are so immature, acting like a 13 year old" i giggle slightly
He pretends to look offended and stands up
Nick: "Well i guess I don't have to take you on this amazing date. I can just order crap food and watch a avengers all night"
he says sarcastically
I laugh and he comes closer to me. He finally reaches me. He grabs my waste with one hand and rubs my belly with the other. I wrap my hands around his neck and go onto my tippy toes to kiss his lips. We make out for a bit until nick says we need to leave for our reservation.
(After they arrive)
Charlie's pov (still):
We arrive and I realize he took me to my favorite restaurant, Evelyn's Table. I almost scream because i haven't been here since before i was pregnant! I know tonight is going to be amazing!
Nicks pov:
I know this is Charlie's favorite place so i knew i needed to take him here. We walk in and say our reservation name and get seated immediately. I pull his seat out and go seat myself. Then waitress walks over...
Waitress: "Hello i'm Kate and i'll be serving you tonight. Can i get you started with any cocktails?"
Nick: "no thank you, i'll take a water"
Charlie looks a little confused but says he'll get a a coke. When she walks off he turns to me
Charlie: "Why didn't you get a cocktail?"
Nick: "i'm not about to drink alone with my pregnant fiancée. I'm not that big of a dickhead"
We laugh and continue to banter until Kate comes back. She sets our drinks down and we thank her.
Kate: "are you guys ready to order?"
but she's only looking at me. I smile back to be polite and answer that we aren't ready yet.
Kate: "That's alright, i don't mind having to come back"
She winks at me. now i'm severely uncomfortable and charlie is giving her a death stare.
She walks away and i turn back to charlie. i was about to say something when charlie opens his mouth first
Charlie: "ew what a whore"
I give him a shocked look because i don't think he's ever said that about someone. He sips his water and rubs his belly while i just start to laugh.
Charlie: "What it's true! like girlie pop your cake-y makeup and ugly work clothes aren't gonna help you find a man"
I laugh even harder at this point and grab his hand.
Nick: "oh my god i love you so much"
i say still laughing
Charlie: "obviously"
He rolls his eyes and he's still rubbing his belly.
He grabs the menu and so do i. Out of the corner of my eye i see Kate staring at me from the register -near the kitchen. She finally notices she got caught and smiled, i just turned away.
She starts coming towards us and i cough to get Charlie's attention. He looks up to see her touching my arm until she asks
Kate: "I think i know what you want"
she winks at me
I pull my arm away and look at charlie, he's fuming.
Charlie: "Babe i think she does know! did you here us taalking about sharing the fish and chips? we know how pick your portions are."
They make dead eye contact and he smiles. She looks at him up and down looking back at him
Kate: "glad you wanna share, might be good for you"
I step in knowing charlie will either cry or punch her. So i take her hand and whisper:
Nick: "if you want my number can you please just take the order"
She leans back up and smiles
Kate: "of course!"
She walks away and charlie looks at me
Charlie: "you better not be cheating on me."
He laughs and i giggle
Nick: "nope just a little lie"
(After food came and they get the check)
i tip her like 5.00 cause i'm not an awful person but i'm not a good one either. She told me to write my number on the check and so i kindly write
