Chapter 23: Thank god

Clovers POV:

I'm freaking the fuck out! they told me they would be home by like 11! I've called and texted and im considering calling the police. I wait a bit knowing i'm being irrational but i can't help but worry.

I start to think about my date with Ellis. They are the nicest person ever and I help but just think about everything that happened that night. It leads me to sit on the couch and i watch a little tv...

I wake up again at 1:30 AM to the door opening up again. I bolt up to make sure it's nick and charlie-not a robber. They see me walk out from the family room and charlie comes to hug me.

Charlie: "I'm so so so sorry! we fell asleep in the car."

nick is laughing in the background so i flip him off as me hug. he flips me off back i laugh a little. Nick walks over, charlie still hugging me, he does this when he feels guilty so i reassure that it's ok

Clover: "Charlie it's ok!! i just wanted to make sure you guys were okay. now y'all are home and safe we're good!"

Charlie let's go and he looks like he just thought of something

Charlie: "OMG!! How was your date??"

I blush and look at the floor seeing nick was standing next to charlie not noticing he was even standing there before.

Nick: "are you just gonna stand there or are you gonna tell us we spent forever trying to find you an outfit"

I pick my head up and flip him off again this time he just laughs.

Clover: "y'all are going to want to sit for this one"

We move to the couch with nick and charlie cuddling on the longer couch and i sit in the love seat.

Clover: "so we get there and they were waiting at a table, they came 20 minutes early and I came 10 minutes early"

Nick and charlie look at each other and smile

Nick: "oooo good time management"

Clover: "Shut up let me talk"

Nick rolls his eyes

Clover: "So we hug and we sit down make regular conversation until she asks: 'What would you do if money wasn't a problem?' This started a while deep conversation about our lives and how we wanted to spend them! We both had close ideals and morals! Then we split the bill after fighting over who was gonna pay and finally when we were leaving... THEY KISSED ME! I MEAN IT WAS ONLY ON THE CHEEK BUT OMG!!"

Nick and charlie scream in excitement.

Charlie: "NO WAY?? THEY KISSED YOU?! YALL HAVE THE SAME IDEA FOR THE FUTURE? YALL ARE MADE FOR EACH OTHER!!"

Nick: "when's the second date??"

Clover: "I don't know but they said we should do this again and soon. maybe something more casual!!"

We all scream with excitement until it all dyes down and nick and charlie talk about their night. the waitress, mini golf, and the movie all sounded very cute but i could tell they were tired.

I check the time again 2AM. I point it out tot he guys and they agree they're tired. We all scatter to our rooms and all i can think about is the amazing people in my life and thank god for it.
