Chapter 32: even closer...

Nicks POV:

It's 2 days until our baby is finally here. Colette hasn't slept (she never stops moving! EVER!!) , causing charlie to not sleep, meaning i don't sleep. This has been going on for 3 days of basically no sleep. I've tried everything to help but there isn't anything to really help. Yoga, walking, gentle exercise, sleeping in fetal position, not eating before bedtime AND NOTHING WORKS.

Charlie usually ends up sleeping during the day and as much as i would love to do the same i have to send in notes for the sub! this sub has no clue what they're doing and calls me, emails me, HE HAS TEXTED ME on what they'd re supposed to be doing! Every time i just say that it's in the notes i left and then he hangs up. In the note i said that if he doesn't understand ask the other English teacher and when i texted him he said that the sub barely talks to him.

So that's been my work life, personal life is almost having a baby with a charlie who is angry half the time because he hasn't been able to sleep, and my inter-mind life is just panicking about everything! all i've been telling myself is to smile for charlie but it's so hard when he's yelling at me about something silly, then crying because he yelled at me, and finally laughing about it because it's all okay now. I'm just ready for the baby to come, at least then charlie won't yell at me...

Charlie: "NICKKKKK"

Nick: "YES BABY?"

Charlie: "COME HERE"

I walk from the office to the couch where i see him laying down (belly looking massive) shirt rolled up to the top of his belly, with a bowl of grapes on the chest, and a water on the floor.

Nick: "yes darling?"

Charlie: "look at this!"

Colette didn't seem to be moving but when charlie ate a grape, we saw her hand go across his belly.

Charlie giggled and not just any laugh but a real Charlie Spring giggle. That makes me laugh and just hearing him laugh like we were in high school again.

I lean down and kiss his lips (he's on the side of the couch btw) charlie gets deep into the kiss, pulls back and sits up. I sit opposite to him and grab his hips pulling him onto my lap. I kiss him hard, hands still on his waist, i slide my hands down to his ass and hold on like he's going to evaporate. He slides his hands up my shirt feeling everything...
