It was silly, so incredibly silly that you could not suppress a laughter as Chrollo exits the changing room in another of the many costumes he picked out to try on.
It was silly to go on a shopping date with a guy you met only a few month's ago and haven't been in a relationship with for too long.
And it was silly that this same man, who is modeling a vampire costume for you right now, is one of the most dangerous people on the continent.
not that you cared though, not as long as he returned to you unscarred or at least alive.
you did not plan anything for today but Chrollo had invited you to a meet up with him and his troupe.
he invited you so shyly with flushed cheeks that you shoved all worries if meeting his friends aside.
when you teased him about his red cheeks and shyness he explained that he didn't want to make you uncomfortable and that it was his troupe eagerly excited to meet you, he didn't want to make you feel like he's moving too fast with the relationship.
but the spider got on his nerves for so many weeks on end that he gave up and told them he would ask you, he didn't expect you to agree though.
"how do you like it?" Chrollo asks, turning his sides to you so you can get a flat 360 of the costume.
"it looks good" you say sincerely and Chrollo furrows his eyebrows.
"you've said that at every costume so far" he says, resting his hands on his hips.
you laugh once more.
"because it is true, with your looks even trash would look good on you!" you say after calming down a little and Chrollos face relaxes, turns into a smile.
"your turn!" he excitedly says after deciding for the vampire costume, sitting on the chair you occupied before him.
you whine in response.
"I don't wanna!" you say but Chrollo only laughs.
"If I had to go through this, so do you." he says and leans back in the chair as you vanish behind the curtain to try the first costume on.
