You wake up with the spot next to you empty.

Chrollo's not next to you.

You yawn and stretch before getting out of bed.

Your feet hit the hold floor and you shudder, grabbing your slippers.

"Chrollo?" you call out but he doesn't answer.

Maybe he's showering?

So you walk to the bathroom but the door is wide open and he's not there.

Back in the hallway you call out for him again but there's no answer once more.

Did you mess up dates?

He said he has work again soon but he said at the end of the month which is still two weeks away.

Or maybe he said in a few weeks when he said it and you just misunderstood him?

You walk downstairs to look for him.

The house his big, he could be in the living room watching TV and didn't hear you or he's deep in a book in the library.

You check those rooms but he's not there either.

It's still early in the morning and very unusual for him to leave the house without telling you first or at least giving you a goodbye kiss.

He knows that it stresses you when he's not around, that you hate to be separated from him.

After all, he's the only thing you have left after your accident a few years prior.

When you woke up in the hospital he was there, sitting next to your bed.

He had a called a doctor after you woke up that checked on you.

You were asked if you remember anything which you didn't.

You didn't even know your name or how old you were, didn't even remember the date or year.

Chrollo was the one who told you everything.

He told you your name and birthday, which year and date it was and filled you in on what happened.

The house you lived in with your family burned down, killing everyone except you.

There was evidence of someone setting the house on fire and the police was still investigating it.

The theory to your survival and amnesia was that you hit your head badly when you tried to run out of the burning house and that by now the injury on your head had healed because there was nothing found.

Not even a scan of your brain could give some closure to the theory but it was the only possibility.

You couldn't cry for your family, you didn't remember them.

You could only focus on your helplessness and the handsome man beside your bed who promised to tell you everything you wanted to know.

And he did.

He told you more about the people you lost, that he was your boyfriend and that the two of you had been dating for a year before the house fire.

You had to do several therapy's in the hospital.
