It hurt to say goodbye to your old patients to carry on to your new job.

You grew familiar to them in your years of working with them and saying goodbye was harder than you had expected.

But the job offer you got was just too good to turn down, even if it meant moving.

A new place for you to stay was found quickly and before you knew it you had started working at your new workplace.

You woke up early that day because you were going to work the first shift of the day, replaceing the night staff with a few other employees.

Upon arrival one of the head Psychologists of the mental hospital.

He went through some cases with you, people you should be aware of because they might endager themselves or other people.

Briefly he gave you a quick run down of the other patients while showing you around, giving you their diagnosis as he pointed to the rooms they were living in.

You were barely able to remember half of the things he told you about the patients but you were sure to get to know them better once you settled in.

He gave you your ID badge so you'd be able to move around the facility yoursrl, though you were sure if someone tried to compare you to the photo of the ID badge they wouldn't recognize you because the picture was just so horrible, and reminded you to never let anyone else have it.

He left you with a new colleague of yours and she assisted you through your first day.

No incidents or outbursts of patients, your first day was almost eerily uneventful.

It wasn't unusual that patients would act out when new staff was introduced, for them it's a stress factor and you were prepared but not for nothing to happen.

You played a few simple games with some patients, got to know some of them and helped them through their daily life before you went home in the afternoon.

The rest of the week was the same.

You went to work in the morning, assisted and played and went home.

It was only when you worked your first nightshift the following week that this usual routine changed.

You were asked to work the night in the third floor, the quietest floor in the entire psych ward, to get used to it and help out.

You agreed because you simply didn't mind and night shifts were usually very easy, boring even.

It was around 2 am when the call button to one of the rooms lit up before buzzing.

You got up and went to where your assistance was asked, stopping in front of the door to open the little transparent box on the wall next to it.

You twisted the little key and pulled out the file stored in it, skimming the front page which holds the most crucial information.

You haven't been on the third floor before so you're completely unaware of what might expect you upon opening the door, you wantto be prepared.

Chrollo Lucilfer, a strange name you think but don't pay any more mind to it, sociopath and insomiac, is allowed tea at night and the books marked with a 'c'.
