Hmmmm a mysteriously new character! What will this green eyes wonder be a part of, evil or good? Muahahaha I don't even know myself. Haha jk. Enjoy the chapter and once again, thx for making my day by reading. =3
According to Hitomi, I'm supposed to meet him here in two days so he has time to set everything up. He wants this to be a a big thing obviously. He said don't tell anybody about this and again, I forget to ask about myself. Another day at school slaps my problems of the way and replace the, with problems in a different category. How do I talk to Ogami now? I think we bonded, but, I'm not sure. Do I say hi, or wait for him to say it? As questions fill my mind space, I run into somebody. I look up and apologize when the guy just gives me a once over before smirking. "No biggie. But not in a bad way, watch where your going. People here can be real pricks." I laugh at his expression. "Speaking from experience I see. So you run into a lot of people here?" That smirk only grows, followed by an eyebrow raise. "Girl! They run into me and expect me to apologize for standing there. Like I said, pricks." I give him a once over before my next line. "Probably the guys right? Not everyday the girls have somebody to fawn over at this school." He runs his hand through his hair and I realize what I said. "You trying to say I look good?" Ugh, gotta bounce back from that. "Well, why say otherwise? Can't tell a guy something different from something he already knows." "Why?" He challenges, his green eyes never leave mine. "Cause his arrogance prevents him from listening." I accept the challenge and he chuckles at my words. Wait, am I flirting? And most of all, is he flirting back? Nah, I'm just having a joyful conversation with somebody I just met. Yep. Is that flirting? Maybe I'll take Toki's advice and read up on the art. "Now that we've bonded a little, names Keane Mitchell. You?" "Olive Sakura." I blurt without thinking. I raise my hand to shake his. Something about this guy makes me feel weak in the knees.... I've never felt weak in the knees. Is This guy from my past? He lets a short pause hang between us before reaching for my face and in all honestly, I have no plans in stopping him. Why? He puts his hand on the locker, sadly not on my face, and allows his face to come burst your bubble close. Those eyes, they're hypnotic. The bang of the locker behind me snaps me back to reality. "Catch ya later. Olive." His breath tickles my cheek before he pulls away to leave me in wonder. I shake my head a little before replaying the scene, no longer having those feelings for the guy. What happened? Again, I walk, but so lost in thought I find myself slamming right into Ogami. "Shiz, I'm so sorr... Oh Ogami! Sorry. I hope I don't make this a habit." I scratch my neck, an embarrassed habit of mine. He grabs my hand and puts it to my side. "You don't have to get all embarrassed you know. You really haven't changed much." He looks away, as if looking for somebody, then looks back at me. "Have you seen... Never mind." What? Nah, you don't just start a question and leave it unfinished. That's like dangling cheese above a mouse, pulling it up when it reaches for it. "No, have I seen what?" He starts to walk down the hall and I follow. "I doubt he's here and if he was, I know he wouldn't talk to you." A little ticked off at his mumbling in front of me, I take his ear and he bends down. "Listen Ogami, if there's a guy that goes here, he's already fallen for my charm. There's not a guy here who I haven't talked to, so you might as well try me." I free his ear and we stop walking. He says nothing for a long while, but instead of wanting to walk, I wait, assuming he's just figuring out how to word his thoughts. "Whatever, it's not like he talked to you anyway. You seen the new guy, black hair green eyes?" Why would he be looking for the new guy? "Yeah, why?" I wonder before telling him we just had a nice conversation about his looks. "If he approaches you, ignore him. He's just another target." What? That can't be. "What makes you say that? I mean, he doesn't look like a guy who would cause any serious trouble." I cover my worry with a laugh in my words. Ogami stares me down, his gaze keeping me a prisoner until he looks away to continue waking. "He's a suspect. We think he's working for an enemy. I'm just here to watch his moves. You know, taking a sneak peek and his plans before he can do them." Speechless, we continue to walk in silence to our classes. I'll have to ask him more about this when we have a more private environment. Like today! "Ogami!" I shout before he turns the corner. He turns and I rush to him. "You have time today after school? We can talk about this then." With a nod and a, "don't be late when I pick you up again." I head to my class with a plan. I'm going to talk to Keane again. Lunch comes around and I catch Sakura in the halls looking like she's ready to clobber Toki. Ahhh she brought puppy I see. Cute. "Sakura, can I talk to you in private for a second. I turn to Toki expectantly. He raises his hands up in surrender. "Sure sure. Don't wanna hear your boy issues." Then winks before taking his leave. "Wow Sakura, good I found you when I did or Toki wouldn't have had time to write his will before he died." Sakura gives me one of her natural laughs, reminding me of the old days before the code breakers forced themselves into our lives. "Guess your right. I'd tell ya what we were arguing about, but I'd just be wasting our time, so what's so important that you stopped me from doing us both a favor?" I smirk. "No way, you flirted with somebody today? Who was it? Somebody I know? I saw you getting cozy with Ogami. You know, that secret meeting?" I roll my eyes and wave it off. "Oh Sakura, you're imagination amazes me. Buuuuut, ok maybe you weren't to far off. I ran into the new guy today." She slings her arm over me and we walk to the girls bathroom. "Tell me everything." Since there really wasn't much to tell, it take a good ten minutes for me to finish. Sakura has a Sakura Freak out session while shooing me off to talk to him again. I left out the fact that he's a suspect of some dangerous business. I mean, if your on ogami's radar, your obviously saw some thing special. Then Sakura told me she has something to tell me to. Well, looks like Ogami Sakura and I are gonna have a truth night tonight. I just hope dad and mom don't freak out about Sakura and I having boys over. Sigh, cause I bet Toki will get news of our little slumber party and do a crash. Oh well, when the time comes the time comes. I look for Keane the entire lunch, but he doesn't show himself. Where is the guy? School ends with me in a state of a miner depression since I didn't get the info I wanted. But oh, it gets better. During my seventh periods I get a weird feeling in my gut, and obviously that's not a good thing. With my fingers crossed, I walk outside the school where Ogami is waiting for me and I can tell he has a comment on my lateness. "Hit me with your best shot." I joke, hinting at the jab he's been thinking up for me, but before he can say anything, gunshots ring and I'm on the ground with a very heavy Ogami protecting me. He doesn't even speak let alone help me up. Such a gentleman. But heck I won't hold it against him. I wouldn't help me up either if there were two guys with guns charging us. Just as Ogami says the magic words and takes out the trash as he says, Toki makes his appearance with Sakura trailing behind. At least they're both safe. I get cut off a lot these days, since just when I want to speak up and thank Ogami for basically saving my life, and probably for him to tell me to stop being full of myself cause it wasn't my life they were after, more dudes with guns make a dramatic entrance, cause now a days my life can't have enough drama. I should be in theater, Shakespeare would have loved me. A shot wheezes past my ear, putting my thoughts of being Shakespeare apprentice on stand by. Toki and Ogami are doing there best, but they aren't made of bullet proof vests. This is stupid, I wish I could help. Frustration consumes my mind, but I refuse to scream. "Sakura, what do we do? We're cornered against a school building with two guys against a million. It's only a matter of time." Sakura shakes her head in agreement, but with no ideas to plan our rebellion, Toki and Ogami are stuck taking hits. Wait, should.i try and use my strange ability again? Well, it's work or die trying at this point. I raise my hand, but nothing comers. Am I supposed to say a special word? Oh, I've seen the first Spider-Man, maybe it's whiz am, or maybe I have to hold my fingers certain way. After seconds of trying, Sakura decided I've humiliated myself enough and calls me back, but I'm still not finished. Frustration envelopes my fingers and the sensation of electricity makes it's way to my fingertips, waiting to be released on my command. Wow, is this what Zeus feels like every day? I could get used to this. And with that being said, I shoot a bolt at the front line of the attacking gunmen. "They're dead." Toki says out of the blue, realizing his magnates can only delay their arrival. They get hit but won't go down, as if they're being controlled. Can that be? Is there even somebody that powerful. I'll ask Hitomi when and if I ever see him again. Ogami again flames a bunch, unarmed against the bullet hitting his arm. I can't take it anymore. "Enough!" I shout before a cool shot of energy leaves my body, flying towards the dead controlled corpses. Then, they stop. Eyes bigger then two elephants on a trampoline juggling three beach balls, I grab my hair in confusion and frustrations, prepared to rip out my dirty blondness. Who am I and why can I do this? My breathing becomes uneven, faster and much more like I'm hyperventilating. My heart beat can't be normal and I may need the emergence room before all this is said and done. Who. Am. I.? Ogami's gloved hand covers my shoulder, while toki's covers the other. Sakura just stares at me like I moved a mountain. Well, I came pretty close to it, but still. I shake the boys hands off me, ready for answer. "Who am i?" I hiss, making sure they get the fact I'm no longer gonna take ask your brother for an answer anymore. Right when I see then, though, I feel guilt rise conquer my curiosity for the moment. "Let's take you home." I mumble, but grab their arms. They let me lead to an extent, but eventually they take me to another place in the school.
