Sakura and I didn’t really look at each other yesterday and walking to school today wasn’t any different. Rumors are already being spread that Sakura and I are fighting over the same guy. What a bunch of BS. Do we really seem that low to lose a sister ship because of a guy? No matter how many times I correct them, they won’t buy my story and add more to the gossip, so I stopped denying all together. I walked into the classroom with Aoba this morning considering Sakura didn’t really talk to us anymore. “What do you think is up with Sakura?” I whisper softly so only Aoba could hear. “Don’t know, she’s been acting strange lately since the new guy. I wonder what has her knickers in a twist.” Aoba responded. “I’m going to talk to him when we get to school. It’s about time things get cleared up. What if he has something over Sakura’s head? What if she’s in trouble and she doesn’t want to bring us into it because she’s worried about us?” I go on and on until we reach our classroom, Aoba laughing at me when I started making silly possibilities sound reasonable. “Good morning Mrs. Kana!” I give a goofy grin with my greeting. “Good morning Olive. You sure seem different today.” She hugged me as Ogami walked into the classroom with Sakura. What? When did she have the time to follow Ogami? I didn’t answer Kana. If looks could kill, Ogami would be tortured. Why? I’d half way kill him, then look away, then look again until he’s almost dead, then look away and that would be the endless cycle of Ogami’s life. I guess he felt my burning glare and had the guts to look me in the eyes, but what I saw there wasn’t anger or a fake kind of cheerfulness. What I saw was a boy who’s alone. A boy who looks like he’s seen more sadness then happiness in his time. Even though he wore that kind grin, it was those cold eyes that sometimes reviled his true feelings. That or it could be something else. There is a possibility I’m only seeing what I want to see. People say they can “Read” people’s eyes and maybe they can to an extent, but I’d say it’s harder than it looks. Again, just when I say what seemed like his vulnerable state, it was covered again by a façade. That one look made me want to cry to be honest, to have one person seem like he’s carrying the world on his shoulders, not having a choice whether to except or decline. I looked away as he gave me a pretty convincing smile. He’s a good actor, I’ll give him that. “Okay class, turn your textbooks to chapter 4 and begin reading. You’ll receive a paper with questions to answer along with this chapter.” As she explained the instructions, she passed out the worksheets and we began. Usually I enjoy the school life, but these days they just keep getting longer and longer. Class ended, meaning it was time for operation information to commence. I spotted Sakura and Ogami walking out of school together, passing the gate. She didn’t even bother to tell me to just go home. I growled as my feet moved on instinct. I don’t know how I managed, but so far I followed without being caught. To be honest, it feels natural even though I can’t remember doing something like this before. Oh well. I stalk the two until they reach a turn. A few seconds later, I turned the corner to, gawking at a dead end. Did I just loose them?
