Hola peoples! Finally gave my writers block a little kick in the bud and vola! I sprouted an idea. I decided to get a little Ogami time in, but don't jump to conclusions on the whole relationship thing that obviously every story has to have. Haha maybe a new big headed wonder will steal her heart. Keep reading and find out. Thanks and enjoy! ;3
The next morning something feels off. I don't know what, it's just a weird feeling. I ask Sakura to go ahead of me with Toki and Ogami cause honestly, today's a day where I just want to be alone. My hand grips the door handle to open it, but something stops me. I listen, but nothing. I shrug my shoulders and open the door, excited to need Ogami for our meeting. I just have to think up so,etching to do. Hey, I have a hidden passion for fencing, why not! I'll teach him a few moves my father showed me a while back. The day of our "date" finally arrives and shockingly, Ogami is right on time. I thought for sure he wasn't gonna come or at the least be late. Guess he does have a heart. I walk up to him and poke his chest. "Am I finally getting through to that cold heart of yours?" I question, sincerely curious. He relieves a sigh and sits on the grass. So in Ogami like. "What do you want with me?" He dead pans. Fine, if that's how it's gonna be. "Such a stick in the mud, buuuuut I bet this'll make you happy." I pull out the wooden swords I stored in my room for years and throw him one before getting in my stance. "Today you'll be learning a few of my mad skills, so prepare." I put on my biggest smile to find Ogami just staring at the sword. "Follow my lead k?" I add after a few seconds of silenced I think he doesn't know how to use it. My mood saddens once he drops the sword to the ground and starts to walk away with a "no." But this time I don't let him go. "What, u afraid?" I challenge. No guy with an ego can resist a challenge. He turns picks up his sword, and with one swing, has me cornered weapon less. "That's not fair, I wasn't ready." I pout before he pulls back the sword with believe it or not, a small smile. "Prove it." That was that. We fence for a while and honestly, I feel a dejavu moment. I win of course. Both breathless, we sit on the grass overlooking the playground where kids are running from each other. Tag I guess. Out of nowhere, Ogami asks a real out of the blue question, but I don't mind. I'm just happy he starts the conversations for once. " people like me, what do you think we"re here for?" Is this a test question. By the way he's sizing me up, I can't tell what he want me to say. I give it some thought until I finally come up with a good answer. An answer I truly believe. "People like you are here to protect people. Judge what the law can't, you know what I'm saying?" He stares at me for a second before returning his attention to the kids. "You know Ogami, I thing protecting the smiles of kids faces, protecting the imaginary world of happiness and innocents they live in, that's the most important thing of what you do." His eyes burn into mind before shooting me another question. "Would you die for that belief?" weird question! But yep. "If my life can help smiles flourish, that's enough for me. Besides, if you remember me, I'll live on forever." His jaw clenches and he give a perplexed look. This is the most emotion I've ever seen him wear. "What if I die first?" He questions, back to his normal dull expression. I return my attention to the playing kids before answering. "I'll try my best, even if I don't have powers, to Not let that happen." That look Ogami gives me sends my world into black before images flood my sight. I see a younger Ogami in the same place we are now, holding a wooden sword and asking me about if he dies first. He gave me the same look then as he did now. It was respect and a little happiness. I regain my present sigh with an Ogami who's showing a little more expression then before. "You ok?" He questions and I nod. "We've had a conversation like this before, haven't we?" He confirms with silence. "You haven't changed much at all." He whispers. "Can you tell me a little about myself back then?" I ask the question I dared not ask before, but I think Ogami and I have bonded a little. Guess not. Ogami tenses before getting up. "You need to ask your brother about that." Grrrrr another person telling to to ask my brother for all the answers. Who is my brother anyway, Obi 1? We walk home together before splitting ways. Honestly, I had a lot of fun. The next morning I let Sakura go ahead of me again, but this time when I close the door behind me, I get a weird feeling, immediately going on red alert. Ignoring my inner alarm to find out why I feel so weird, I wish I wasn't so darn curious. A tissue is held over my nose and the suddenness of it makes me take a deep breath in. That is strike two. Why and from where I know how chloroform smells is beyond me, but I know it, and I dread it as I fight to keep my eyes open and not breath. But that one breath ruins my chance of escape, cause the next thing I know, my eye lids become weights and the only thing in my line of vision is darkness. Eventually I wake up to a smiling Hitomi and a Heiki that looks like he's just been scowled. I rub my eyes. "What did you do to him? He looks like you pulled a whip out on him." I yawn, totally forgetting they knocked me out just to get my here. "He thought it would be more fun to kidnap you instead of bringing you here nicely, so we had a talk." He emphasizes the word "talk", while glaring at Heiki. I give a big stretch and another yawn before I ask the question that should have been the first thing to spout from my mouth. "What's up? I mean, why kidnap me?" Heiki stays silent while Hitomi takes control of the conversation. "It's time for the mission." My job is to lore out Eden's bodyguards so Heiki and Hitomi can kidnap the prime minister. Fun. My job isn't that hard an in minutes, I receive the call to ditch the guards and report to home base. I follow my orders, not surprised to find the prime minister remembers me. I kind of figured we shared a connection on TV the day I met Hitomi in the hospital. "Olive, so nice to see you again. Why'd you run away from me?" Eden frowns, acting as if he cares about me when deep down I know he doesn't. "I didn't pay to watch a play, drop the theater Eden and pay for your crimes." I turn and whisper to my brother. "He did do major crimes right?" He confirms with a quick nod. Eden drops the act, refueling his true self. "You slimy bitch! don't talk that way to your boss. I knew your brother gave you back your memories." That little speech doesn't sit well with Hitomi, cause the next thing I know, I see the sides of Eden's now pinkish cheek and a sound that echoes through the room. I hate to admit it, but I feel a little sympathy for him after that scene. But just a little. "Shut up and play your part. We will be remembered." Hitomi spat while spilling out the news he's been harboring on what Eden has been doing. This to me is also new. So apparently, a code breaker can be swallowed by their own power when used to much? That's terrible. And since code breakers are non existent to regular humans, they can't even be given a proper burial. But Hitomi states that times will change, and I believe him. But what's with the whole memory thing. Hitomi and I will have a talk about that when the prim minister isn't in ear shot. Can Hitomi really restore my memories? Nah, he would have done it by now, this must be the prim ministers sick humor to get me to turn on Hitomi. Then again, it's been a while since brother and me had a bonding session. Yeah, I'll stick with the whole talking to him later thought.
