Hey guys! I'm a new Wattpad recruit and Like everybody else, I just want to see how you guys like my story. last year I read this manga called Code Breaker and I didn't think to write a fanfic about it until now. I don't own the characters except Olive, and another I might through in there. The entire first part is a story line that I created myself.
so basically this story is about a young girl named Olive who is un liked compared to her older brother. Her brother defended her and that's when everything went from bad to worse. and one more thing, these guys have powers.
I woke up to my cell phone ringing and my older brother shaking my shoulders. "Olive, it's time to get up." I moaned in protest only to hear a chuckle. "I made pancakes." He bribed. My eyes flew open to find the dark black eyes of my brother. "Hitomi, you just said that to get me up." I argue as I slowly rise and rub my eyes. "I'll let you figure that out. Mom and dad are gone for work by the way, so you don't have to worry." I let my face soften at his words. I'm terrified of my parents. They're mean to me and call me names because I'm not as good at Hitomi. They say I was a mistake and that I was never supposed to be born. But Hitomi thinks otherwise. He loves me and cares for me when mom and dad don't. I can only trust Hitomi in this cruel world with the secret of my power. You see, Hitomi and I are both power users. We have the ability to control electricity, but I'm not as powerful as he is which is why my parents don't love me. I give Hitomi a hug when I finally smell the breakfast downstairs. "You did make something! Why didn't you call me to help?" I pout as he ruffles my hair. "You're too cute when you sleep, I didn't have the heart to wake you." "Stop teasing me." I push his hand away and give him a hug. I love hugs from Hitomi. He wrapped his arms around me, then he grabbed my cheeks and caused me to make a funny face. I pushed him away as he laughed out loud. "Your so mean!" I smile as we head downstairs and eat our breakfast. We talk and laugh like every morning until I'm again left alone so Hitomi can go to his secret job. I want to go with him, but he won't let me. "Please let me go with you Hitomi! I promise to be a good girl!" I whine. Yes, I'm a 8 year old girl wining to her 14 year old brother. But he still won't tell me. So I decide to follow him today. I did only to find him in a government building. Hitomi taught me how to sneak when we were younger, so I'm not bad. I overheard them talking about cleaning up garbage at the park or something. "So that's what he didn't want me to see?" I whispered. That's when I was grabbed by the collar of my shirt by a huge man. "Look what we got here. a lost puppy." He threw me into the room with my brother and the older man he was talking to about garbage. I looked up to find the shocked face of my brother and the amused face of the older man.
"What should I do with her Eden?" asked the guard. That's when Hitomi came in, stepping in front of me as if I was in danger. "OH, so this is the little sister you wish to protect?" he spoke with venom. I was shivering in my boots, but I made sure I didn't show it on my face. I've had quite a bit of practice acting in front of my parents. "A brave face she's got there. Well Hitomi, I understand why you would want to protect her." And with that, we were dismissed. I of course got in trouble and Hitomi gave me the talk about listening to him. But after he bought me ice cream and we had a normal rest of the day. We came home later than planned only to find our parents dead drunk. They chucked a bottle at my face as they saw me. "Where were you, you little troublesome brat." It cut the right side of my face as Hitomi blocked it with his ability. Blood ran down as I screamed in pain. And that's when my world was turned around. Hitomi lost it and before I knew it, our parents were on the floor, unmoving. Not wanting me to see, Hitomi covered my eyes and carried me away to a doctor. And nothing was the same again.
"Has it really been two years since then?" I wake up one morning to the ringtone of my cellphone for a job as I stare in the mirror, tracing the scar on my cheek from then. A lot of things have changed in two years. After our parents died, Hitomi attempted to take care of me on his own without anybody knowing. But the money he was making as a code breaker wasn't enough. Later, I decided to do what he was doing. I asked Eden for a job and he tested my ability and seemed very impressed. He agreed immediately. Only then did I figure out what being a code breaker meant. It meant killing the evil and becoming nonexistent to the none power users. I had my second thoughts, but if it meant being closer to my brother all day and supporting him like he was supporting me, then it was worth it. I took the job and I failed the first day. Hitomi saved me and claimed that I wasn't suited for this life. I wanted to prove myself, so I tried again. It hurt to kill, but I wanted to make Hitomi proud of me. He's code one, which means he's the king, or the best in the business. There are five other code breakers, but oddly enough, I'm not one of them. Turns out, the only way Hitomi would allow me to do this job is if I trained with my ability a bit more and only take the jobs that were necessary. So what am I exactly? I like to call myself code zero because I've always been a zero to others and it's not like I'm doing any awesome super hero jobs. The name kind of just stuck. Hitomi said it meant power because the lower the code number, the stronger the code breaker. And that's just how life was for me, testing my ability, getting stronger; hanging with my brother and the other code breakers, life was good. I opened my cell phone to check the caller ID to find my agents number. "Yo." I mumble with a frown. "Don't be like that." Then there was a pause. This can't be good. "Today, the mission your brother was on.... well..... The mission was a trap. The code breakers are dead." I dropped the phone and threw on my jacket. I sprint to Eden, ready to kill when my gaze landed on the one and only Hitomi. "HITOMI!" I cry as I lunged for a hug, soaking his shirt with my tears. "You heard." Was all he said? I was so angry and sad I just didn't know what to say, so I just stood there, crying and soaking his shirt. He squeezed me in response while stroking my hair in reassurance. He smelt of burnt ash and smoke. After that little episode, and I had the guts to feel embarrassed, Hitomi told me the whole story with a tragic expression. Turns out, all the code breakers died because of an explosion. I cried again for our lost friends. I was actually really fond of Sakura, the one with the water power. I didn't really sleep well that night. I could tell Hitomi didn't either since he woke me up with a dejected smile. I couldn't bear to watch it any further, but it's not easy to lighten a mood like this, but I gave it a shot anyway. "Hey Hitomi, Did you make pancakes?" He gave me a smile as he rubbed my head. "Don't get to in over your head you little squirt." Laughing, we got up and fixed breakfast, leaving afterward. I nearly forgot about the loss of our friends until Hitomi brought it up. Ok, he foreshadowed it. "Listen Olive, things are going to be a little different. We have new recruits and you're gonna help me train them." My heart sank as the reality of the situation struck me like a slap in the face. I couldn't, cus every time I'd see one of them they'd remind me of what used to be. But how could I refuse my brother. "If that's what you want me to do." I aloud a smile to play on my lips as he copied me, relieved that I didn't take it too hard. "Think they'll make it?" I asked Hitomi before we got started. "do dead trees bear fruit?" was his reply. "ha I think you just insulted them." laughing, we make it to the code breaker base to find the new trainees.
