Buuuut I have a way around it. "I won't make you do it, I'll ask you." I offer. He sees what I've don't and pouts. "You always dodge my words and make me work neon maru. Are you sure you had your mind wiped?" Mind wiped? "He means amnesia." They try to lead the topic away from discussion, but I won't have it. "Hitomi did it, I thought he...." "End of discussion." The normally calm and unreadable faced Ogami now wears a mask of pain. I might as well drop it for now. Why is he so pained when I'm the one with lost memories. He can be kind of selfish. "Whatever. Yuuuuuki! Will you help with this mission that Eden wants?" I wonder what mission it is. I haven't really been filled in on the whole lets recruited Yuki thing. "Fine but only for you olive." Why do I find that really cute? "Your so cute Yuki! Always help right? Isn't that the neon maru way." That gives him a smile. I think about asking them what the mission is, but every time I foreshadow the subject, I get shot down. They said they'll tell Yuki later, for now let's have fun catching up. Is it that important? Then again, I better not get more involved then I already am. In truth, I have no desire to go back to what I once was. In thought, I hear a phone ringing. "Olive, is that your phone?" Toki questions. I reach into my bag and read the color ID. Shot it's Keane. "I better take this." I excuse myself from the table and head outside for some privacy. "Keane I am so sorry! Something important came up and I." He doesn't let me finish. With a understanding attitude, he retorts. "Olive hey, I get it. We can make another date for studying. No big deal. Your acting like I'm in he hospital with a coma and you missed me waking up." He humors, lifting my mood a bit. "Your so weird." "Chicks dig a little weird." I giggle at his words. "Did you just say girls dig weird?" That sounds so old school. "What can I say, I'm an old school kind of guy." We chit chat a while longer before I hang up, remembering I have people waiting for me back at the restaurant. "Who was that?" Yuki asks as soon as I take my seat. "A friend." Everybody but Ogami lets that slide. Guess he knows me well enough that when I don't say who the friend is, I want to keep it a secret. "What's his name?" Och. "Ok, why do you automatically assume it's a him?" He glares. "Don't change the subject." We have a glaring contest, but somehow, I feel like we've done this before, cause I have that feeling he knows I'm going to give eventually. "His names Keane." This grabs not only Ogami, but toki"s attention as well. "Keane! As in suspect Keane?" Toki mumbles over a mouth full of food. "I told you not to go near him." Ogami scowls, making me feel like a small kid again. "I thought I could get information on him, since we already met and all." That was a mistake. "When?" Ogami pestered. Dang, I've never heard him talk this much. "These onion rings are the bomb, right guys?" "Olive." Toki to seems pretty serious. "What? Like heck I can remember. It was a while ago I guess." I defend myself, sipping my doctor pepper. Nothing is said for a while, until eventually Ogami repeats his later warning. "Stay away from him. HE's bad news." Truthfully, I don't see what's so bad about him, but I might as well not keep the argument going. "Fine. So what's for desert?" I can't take this conversation anymore. The rest of the night I stayed as far from talking about any kind of mission suspect or code breaker business. I just need to remember how it was before, when I was still a normal girl with no powers or life or death problems. I want my normal problems back, where all I had to worry about was who to reject next! That sounded terrible. I meant, what homework was due and what teachers I had to talk to. The next day, I meet Hitomi at the spot from before. I asked what happened last time, which he replied with a "it's no big deal, just the minister cut his ropes and we had to find him." Satisfied with the answer, I still have my doubt on if it's the truth or not. "I don't know Hitomi. IS this the right thing to do?" You know, Hitomi only has two expressions he uses for every day and one for really critical times.... Then that one for something really serious. Now was one of those times where he whips out the expressionless serious face. "If you remembered the whole story, you'd understand again." AGAIN? "Wait! You said again!did I already know about this before my memory was lost?" He nods. My expression sharpens at his lack of information. "Then why not spill the beans again?" His brows furrow in frustration, assumably by my lacking wish to obey. "Then things will turn out just like before and.... I can't have that." I look away wondering what more there could be if I'm already helping him this far. There's more he's not telling me...... Why can't I remember??! Silence fills the space between us the rest of the way to the building.
