A Deep Wound

Chapter 6: A Deep Wound 

Ella opens her eyes. She found herself in a bed. She lost a lot of blood and needed stitches. It wasn't that wide but very deep.

As she tried to make herself in a sitting position, she felt a bit dizzy. Suddenly, her senior with a doctor entered the room.

The doctor asked, "How are you feeling?"

Ella replied, "A bit dizzy but I think I'll recover soon."

The doctor then answered, "Good."

Ella, her senior and the doctor were discussing her wound. Ella wasn't listening attentively as her brain was all struck to identify the man. Who it was?

Immediately, she reminds of her phone which was not with her. She asks her senior about that.

To which her senior answered, "Yeah, I have your phone." And he gives her the phone. These agents have a policy that they have to submit their phones to an officer before going on a mission where their phones should be switched off.

Ella's senior took her phone from the officer and gave it back to her. She switched on her phone and found out that, there were at least twenty-seven missed calls from her family members.

She calls her mother,

Ella, "Hello Mom. You called me but I am at the site. I didn't know that my phone was dead. Was there anything urgent? Why did you call?"

The doctor and her senior stop talking as Ella's looks and voice both seem serious.

Abruptly, Ella replied, "WHAAT!" and she hung up the call.

She asked her senior, "Did we attack them after they left?"

And the answer was yes.

Here at the hospital,

Ella kept everything aside and ran towards the hospital where Jason was admitted. Outside the room where Jason was admitted, his and Ella's parents were standing waiting for Jason to wake up.

Ella asked her mother, "What happened?"

Her mother answered, "We don't know what exactly happened but he met an accident. He injured his right lower leg."

Ella asked, "Okay, but why he's unconscious?"

Her mother answered, "The Doctor said it's because of the shock."

Ella was surprised to hear this as this case was the same as the man, she fought with last night.

She asked her mother can she could visit him and went inside the room.
She was shocked to see that; his wound was at the same place as of the man she fought last night.

Meanwhile,

'WooooOOOooooo WoooooOOOoooooo' The ambulance with its siren on was moving very fast. It was about 5:15 in the morning. The sun was going to rise but still, it was dark. Suddenly, a truck came and rammed into the ambulance.

And Jason wakes up. He was breathing hard with a puff and pants. He was in his dream.

Ella watched him like this, she was scared. Immediately, she called the doctor.

After some time, the doctor came out and said, "There is not to worry at all. He is all right. You can meet him now."

Jason's father asked, "But, what happened to him?"

Doctor answered, "It was like he was recalling the things that happened to him in his accident. But he is alright now."

Everyone entered inside and gathered around him.

Jason's father was standing just beside his head. Beside Jason's father, there was Jason's mother, holding his hand. Beside them, there were Ella's parents.

But Ella was standing so away from Jason's bed. She wasn't attentive at all. She was looking at the similarities between that man and Jason. She doubted Jason. Whether that man is not Jason. Her eyes were all on the dressing of Jason's lower leg injury.

Suddenly, Ella came back to her senses when Jason's mother asked, "Where were you both on your first night?"

Before Jason could say something, Ella replied, "When we were about to sleep, a phone call from the site manager called me and said that there was a serious problem and it was urgent to go there. Jason said he'd also come as it was late.

After reaching there, we found that it could take this till morning. So, I sent him back home, so that he could sleep and in between the journey, he met with the accident.

I called him a lot but he said he would switch off his home while sleeping so I was busy with my work." 

Everything was a lie but she had to do it to save both of them. Jason wasn't surprised with all that Ella said as these lies were going to be there till they are together.  

Then her mother said, "Thank God! Jason is alright. He's alive. That's all we need."

Hearing this, Ella smiled. Suddenly, Ella's assistant, Exo, entered the room and said, "I have completed all the formalities. The doctor said that as there is no fracture, we can take him home. But proper care should be taken."

Exo was not only Ella's assistant but also her great friend. He knew everything about Ella. Although he didn't know that Ella was a secret agent, he knew that she was doing something to serve that country.

After two days...

Jason was discharged. The doctor advised him, to a complete bed rest.

Jason was in Ella and his room. There were Ella, Jason's parents and his grandma.

While Jason's parents were talking to him, he interrupted them and asked, "Can everyone please go out for a minute I want to ask something to Ella..."
