Chapter 34: Victor warned Ella

*******************************************

Ella found herself in a dark room. She wasn't able to see anything clearly, everything was blurred. She was drugged multiple times. She was lying on the ground but her hands and legs were handcuffed. She pushed herself up, leaned back to the wall, and breathed heavily. Her head was thick and was paining like hell. Before she could handle herself, a man came in with a red mark, it was Victor.

He went to a table in the room, poured three spoons of sugar from the sugar pot into his cup of tea, and then used the same spoon to dilute that sugar by mixing the tea. He clanged that spoon to the edge of the cup, placed it on the table, and went to Ella. He sat on his knees and took a sip from the cup, and with the other hand, he grabbed her hair and pulled her closer.

"Look at your condition, I can make it worse. If you want to save your family, stop destroying my plans, or else, all the people you love, will be tortured till death in front of your eyes," He said.

"People I love? My family? There's no family of mine," She breaths out.

"Okay then, be ready to see Jason dead," He said and pushed her head forcefully which made her fall. He got up and walked towards the door.

"What do you want?" Ella asked as she got herself up into a sitting position.

Victor walked back towards Ella and bent near her face, making eye contact. "Don't disturb us 'cause you know what? We'll be successful in the end, but the one who'll be alone and lost will be you. So, stay aside from our mission."

"Who are you?" she asked.

Victor chuckled, "Who do think I am? Only one person can threaten you using your family."

"Victor Deadborn..." Ella said while suddenly everything blurs in her eyes and then she passes out.

When she opened her eyes, She found herself on a hospital bed. Exo was sitting beside the bed on a chair. She looked at him, "You're up? How are you feeling? Do you remember anything? Wait. I'll call the doctor," Exo said and ran out of the room and came back with the doctor.

The doctor examined her and went out of the room. Till this, she didn't utter a word. After the doctor went out of the room, Exo came and sat near her, "Say something. How're you feeling?"

"I'm okay. It's like every time," she replied. She was speaking very low voice, "Don't worry about me. What's the day today?"

"Friday," he replied.

"Weren't you going for the trip with your family today?" She asked.

"How can I leave you like this?" He replied.

"Don't worry I'll be fine. Go for your trip," She replied.

"What about your health? You need someone by your side. How can I...."

"I'll appoint a nurse," Ella intruded.

"Okay! But why you're forcing me this much?" he asked in a confusing tone.

"I'm regretting still today that last time you had to cancel your trip because of me. I just don't want to be the reason for your divorce," she replied.

Exo chuckles, "Okay then if you're insisting a lot, I'll go."

There was something behind this much force and insist but Exo wasn't suspicious about it as Ella was always forceful in the past about things except her health.

After a while, the nurse arrived to assist Ella, and Exo took his leave, unaware of the deeper concerns that lingered just beneath the surface.

Days passed, and Ella remained in the hospital, taking the time to rest and recover. It was unusual for her to be so still; she rarely allowed herself to pause. When the day finally came for her discharge, she felt a mix of relief and uncertainty.
