Chapter 30: Sane's Dead

**********************************

"Mom!" Ella shouted. "No. No. No. No. Nooooo. Mom. Please, please stay with me. Stay!" She sobered. All her words were of no use as Sane was Dead. She ran out of the room and called the doctor. He came into the room. Check her eyes using a torch. He asked for a defibrillator from the nurse and gave her some shocks.

"Set it to 120," The doctor asked the nurse, and she set the machine as he told.

"Ready! Shock," the doctor said, keeping those plates over her bare chest. Meanwhile, another assistant doctor, gave her CPR using his hands. This went on for a long time. They kept on increasing the energy level of the defibrillator but there wasn't any improvement. Ella was watching all this from the see-through glass on the room door. Her tears were coming out non-stop.

Keris and Jacob also came and stood in front of the ICU room.

"What happened?" Keris asked.

"She went into cardiac arrest," Ella sobered.

After some time, the doctor came out of the room and said, "Sorry, we couldn't save her."

Hearing his words, The three of them shattered like a broken glass. They cried and regretted the bad behavior they did to her. Ella regretted that she couldn't give her what she dreamt.

The Funeral Day...

They cleaned the body, dressed her well, and placed her into a coffin. They kept flowers over that coffin and took her to the graveyard. They berried her. The day was quite intense. Everyone was crying while meeting each other, and Ella was quiet without saying a word. It felt like she was somewhere else. Whatever people said, She never reacted to any of them.

Soon, the day became night. Ella along with Matthews came back to their house. She went into the room and sat on the couch. Jason looked at her but ignored them. He went to change his clothes and freshen up. When he came out of the bathroom, he was surprised to see that she was still the same. He went and sat beside her but she didn't notice.

"Ella?" He said and suddenly came back to her senses.

"Uhh. What do you want?" Ella replied. She wasn't looking at him.

"Hey, look at me," Jason asked.

"What?" Ella said and looked at him.

"Don't you want to change?" Jason asked.

"Oh yeah, I'll be back," Ella replied and went to the bathroom. When she came back, Jason turned on some music, "Why didn't you cry today?" He asked.

"Why do you want me to cry?" Ella asked.

He chuckled and replied, "You know crying is the most relief thing to do. It can make you unburden your sadness and even sometimes anger," Then he came closer to her and continued, "And what's the second thing to make you relief?"

"What?" Ella asked.

"Dancing," He replied and offered his right hand to her, "Will you please dance with me, my lady?"

"I think," She replied and kept her hand over his. Jason built up the volume and they started dancing, their bare feet were in perfect coordination. They were dancing like they'd practiced a lot before. Ella kept her one hand over his shoulder and the other was still in his hands. While Jason kept his hands over her waist. She twirls gracefully as he pulls her close, their hands intertwined. Their steps were delicate and deliberate like water.

Suddenly, Ella burst out with tears. As her both hands weren't free, she made her head down to hide her tears but her loud voice was enough to identify that she was crying. She wasn't able to handle herself so she made herself sit down on the ground. , Jason also did the same with her. She cried but for the first time, someone was with her, she was in someone's arms. Jason hugged her and carefully patted her head.

After some time of crying, Jason left her and went to make coffee. He entered the room with two cups in his hands which were filled with coffee but couldn't find her. Then he looked for her on the balcony and found her.

"Take this," Jason said.

"Thank you" Ella replied and took the coffee from him.

They talked for some time and went to a night's sleep.

The next day :

Roger was sitting alone in a café, waiting for Rohn. After some time, she finally entered and sat in front of him.

"It's over thirty minutes I was waiting. How can you be so late?" Roger was furious.

"So. How do you feel? It's only thirty minutes. By the way, you made me wait for three hours," Rohn replied.

"It was three years ago," Roger replied.

"But! It was three hours," Rohn replied.

"There's a time difference between Germany and the US," Roger replied.

"Don't fool me. It's a six-hour difference," Rohn replied.

"Fine! You win," Roger was frustrated.

"So, Why we're here?" Rohn asked.

"It's about Ella," Roger replied.

"Yeah, she always says something else. That's why I'm not convinced by her words. You know? On the day we met, Ella and me, when I asked her about the reason she told me to meet somewhere else and never showed up," Rohn replied.

"And now, her mother's death. It seems like. Something is happening between these families," Roger replied.

"Which families?" Rohn asked.

"Ella and Jason, obviously," Roger replied.

"How?" Rohn asked.

"It seems," Roger replied.

"Do you know how we will confirm or how we'll get to know about their reality?" Rohn asked.

"We need to make a plan," Roger replied

"What plan?" Rohn asked.

"Rohn. Whatever they are, they just seem happy loving families, but in reality, nobody likes to live together. Their innocent face have hidden a lot of secrets which are very harmful in reality. It's really dangerous, even life-threatening. So, are you in?" Roger explained

"I love adventures," Rohn said excitedly.
