Chapter 32: He Killed Her

Ella was sitting on a chair in the study room. She was stressed, she pressed her nasal bone and was busy in deep thinking. Suddenly, she is reminded of a pen drive, "If he found my files in the locker, He must've found where David is."

She quickly ran and sat in the car. She applied the accelerator so hard that the car was going at 140km/hr. And was getting more higher. She then called Exo but he wasn't picking up. He picked up when it was the tenth time she called him.

"What you were doing?" Ella shouted

"What happened?" He asked.

"Now listen carefully. Jason found a way to my locker and tried to blackmail me with my health issue," She said.

"Oh. So now what you'll do?" Exo asked.

"This isn't the thing. The main thing is that there was a pen drive in that locker where all the recordings of my conversation with David are stored and where I kept him," She said.

"I'm coming in five," He said.

"Be fast," She said, ending the call and fully focusing on driving now.

When she reached there, she found the lid of the underground room was open. She went near that lid and simultaneously, Exo arrived there too. They both silently crawled down through stairs. When they entered the room, they found David lying on the floor, His shirt was covered with blood. Ella came near him. She bent and placed her fingers over the carotid nerve of David's neck.

"Shit," She cursed.

"No pulse?" Exo asked and Ella nodded yes.

"Who did this?" Exo asked.

"I know who did this," Ella replied and she saw a shadow near the cupboard. She pointed her finger there to signal Exo.

"Who?" Exo asked.

"David," Ella said that, just to divert the killer as she knew he was hiding beside the cupboard. She slowly walked near it and took out the gun which was tugged in her pants at the back and swiftly made a turn beside the closet and pointed it towards that man but she found it was Rory.

"You?" Ella said with shock.

"Yes! It's her," Jason's voice interrupted their eye contact. Ella turned back to see who it was.

"How was the surprise?" He continued to say.

Ella was furious but controlled herself she walked casually towards him. She went close to him and said, "What do you think? You killed him, just to beat me?"

"David was nothing to me but to you, he was a lottery ticket but unfortunately, I've killed him," Jason replied.

Ella chuckled. Jason was confused to see her laughing but acted like he didn't care, "You know what? I love the way how you get jealous of me. I don't care about David. He told me what I really wanted to hear but it was all your energy wasted and actually, both of you killed a man who had nothing to do with this war," She said. She then looked at Rory and then to Exo.

Meanwhile, Jason walked towards Exo, grabbed his collar, and pulled him closer, and with that arm, he wrapped it around his neck and squeezed it. He placed the barrel on the temple of his forehead and said, "What if I kill him? Will you regret or you really don't care about him?"

Ella then pointed her gun towards Rory, "Try it boy but I'm sure you're gonna regret it too."Exo then the gun from his pants. He kicked Jason on his knee which made him displace a kittle and he lost his grip on his arm of which Exo took advantage and made himself free Jason and pointed that gun towards him.

The scene was intense as Ella was pointing her gun towards Rory. Rory was pointing back towards Ella. Exo was pointing towards Jason and Jason was towards Ella. The voice of silence was enough to say that there was a great tension between them. Ella's gun was pointing at Rory but her eyes were all over Jason. He was looking at her too. He found pain in her eyes like she wanted to say something or she'll cry any other second. They were communicating with each other through their eyes.

Ella pulled the hammer and their eye contact broke. It was to warn everyone when Jason pulled his gun's hammer too. "We can handle this other way, guys. Let's sit, talk, and sort this out," Rory requested.

"I'm not your guy. Go sit, talk, and sort this out with your Jason," Ella replied furiously.

"Don't bring our relationship between this," Jason replied.

"Oh please, It is important to bring every relationship related to you..." Ella replied.

"Why?" Jason asked.

"You don't know why?" She amusedly answered.

"Stop this you both," Rory intruded.

"I told you to shut up! You don't understand simple words? Don't forget, my gun is still pointed towards you," Ella replied furiously,

"How can you say this to her?" Jason asked with anger.

"Because I'm her senior. And yours too," She replied.

"Why did you kill David?" Exo intruded with his question.

"My wish, my thing," Jason replied.

"Jesus. Are you insane? This isn't family function going on," Exo replied.

"But everyone is a family member here," Jason replied.

"I'm not your family," Exo replied.

"Whose talking to you?" Jason said.

Suddenly, Rory turned the barrel of her gun towards Exo and pulled the hammer.

"STOP!" Ella shouted and everyone looked at her. "Jason leave or you'll see your girlfriend like David."

"I'll not. Try to touch her, I'll ruin your everything," Jason replied.

"My everything is ruined because of you so in return I'll ruin yours," she replied to just warn him but she saw that Rory was about to pull the trigger so she displaced the gun a little, aimed, and pulled the trigger.

The bullet came out of the barrel and in a second, it splashed Rory's right arm. Blood was oozing out and her sleeve was all red. The bullet didn't enter her body but just touched and went away.

Looking at Rory, Jason without any thought pulled the trigger of his gun and the bullet came out with great force, it reached Ella's upper chest and went into her skin and straight through the fats and muscle, it injured her bone. It all happens in less than a second.

Everything blurred around her. She pressed her hand on that wound as it was excruciating. Soon, she fell but Exo held her in his arms. She wasn't able to speak anything because of pain and after barring a lot, she blacked out.
