Chapter 24: Rose's Bracelet

"I've cardiac syncope!" Ella replied in a serious tone.

"What is that?" Roger asked.

"It is caused by a heart condition or cardiovascular problem. In this, your heart becomes weak. So the heart doesn't pump much blood. Ohh gosh! How do I explain?" Ella said. She took a deep breath and continued, "Look. When the heart doesn't pump enough blood, the brain doesn't get enough blood flow, which can cause a temporary malfunction and fainting. This happens with slow heart rhythms that don't pump blood effectively."

They both frowned, looked at each other out of confusion, and then looked back at her. Looking at them, she understood that she had to go more simpler, "Basically, I might die.."

"What?" Roger shouted out of surprise.

"Although only thirty-three percent is this the death rate but because of exhaustion due to work and heavy physical exercise, my condition is getting worse," Ella replied

"Does Jazz know about this?" Rohini asked.

"Nope. Except you both, only Exo is aware of my condition," Ella replied.

"Why didn't you tell everyone?" Rohini asked.

"Your Jazz. He doesn't care whether I live or die. Keris. He's been the reason I'm working a lot and Mom and Dad, I don't want them to take stress because of me anymore. So, except you two there's no one to whom I can share my story," Ella replied.

"Precisely, how much time is left with you?" Roger asked.

"I don't know. It might be three months to three years," Ella replied.

"Are you kidding?" Rohini asked.

"I'm serious. I want someone to handle my family after I die," Ella replied. "We had a great time together. We had the best bond until we broke apart. Everything shattered like a broken glass which can't be fixed again."

"Why are you saying like you're going to die tomorrow? If we try, we can be friends again," Rohini said.

"We can't," Ella replied.

"She's right. Everything has changed now. Jason, we three and even the aura around us," Roger replied.

"Roger? I didn't expected this from you. You wanted us all to come together. I'm here because you said things will get fixed if we four become friends again," Rohini frowned and looked at Roger for some time and rested back to the previous position.

"I was mistaken. I didn't knew Jason would be like this," Roger replied.

"There's no change in Jazz. He's the same as he was back then. But instead, I can see, you guys are changing. I think you both are brainwashing me," Rohini said

"How can you say this, Rohn?" Roger looked at Rohini but she was looking at Ella, despite knowing that Roger was looking at her.

"Jason would have never met me if it wasn't for the marriage, Rohn," Ella interrupted. "His parents never wanted me as their daughter-in-law."

"Wait. What do you mean?" Rohini asked.

"When Jason told me that he's having a girlfriend, I rushed to his parents and said a straight no for the marriage, his father put me in a condition," Ella replied.
