  Chapter 19: What Happened To Rory?

After the party in the backyard, Indie is with the same stranger who was on the phone that day.

"I told you not to come to the party," asked Indie.

"I don't need your permit for what I want to and what I'll do," the stranger replied.

"What do you want? Why did you come?" Indie asked.

"Meet me at the coffee shop at noon tomorrow," the stranger ordered.

"I ain't free. My schedule is tight," Indie cleared him.

"And I ain't consider your excuse. Do as I say or your secrets will be out."

He forcefully gave Indie a card with a written coffee shop address and went off. Here the thing is that Ella was looking at them from her bedroom's balcony whereas Jason was in the bathroom taking a bath. It was so much confusing for Ella to see the same man for the second time when she didn't know single thing about him.

Jason and Ella changed and was about go to sleep as they have go on a mission tomorrow.

"So you sleep on the couch. I'll be on the bed," Ella said.

"Excuse me! Today's my day of sleeping on the bed not you," replied Jason.

"Well. If we apply full Maths, from the day 1 we got married, till today, today is my day to sleep," Ella replied.

"But today is the first day we're sleeping together in this room," Jason replied.

"Okay than you go on your rules, I'll go on mine," replied Ella.

"What do you mean?" Jason asked.

"It's your choice about sleeping on the bed or the couch. My decision is clear, I'll spend my night on this bed." replied Ella.

"What do you mean? We'll sleep together?" asked Jason.

"You can. If you've control," replied Ella.

"What about the contract?" asked Jason.

"Who cares. The thing which you did today in the morning, already broke it. So, don't talk about the rules and contract. You're the one who trespassed the contract first. I'm already going on the basis of rules in the contract," replied Ella.

"Nowhere in the contract is written that I can't show you my body not you can see." replied Jason.

Ella was stuck. She didn't knew what to say next. She swallowed the saliva in her mouth and started again, "But still, I'm on my rules."

"And I'm on mine," Jason replied.

"Okay then. Let's see what you can do," Ella replied.

They knew what to do. They both suddenly walked to the opposite corner of the bed, faced towards it, and started running. The one who reach the bed first, will get a chance to sleep tonight on the it.

Ella was first to reach. But it wasn't of any use. 

"Ring! Ring-Ring!" Ella and Jason phone spoke with a sync. "There has been an attack on the headquarters." 

After hearing this, they both rushed to the headquarters. When they reached, all the things were shattered in that room. Everything was destroyed including the evidence, pictures of the opponents, documents related to the upcoming mission. The furniture were broken, fallen and some were destroyed in such a way which showed that they were trying to find something from it.

"What happened, Grace? Tell me," Asked Ella.

"It was Victor Deadborn," Grace replied. "They, he or she is reason of this destruction." 

"Where's Rory?" Jason asked.

Grace took a deep breath. She was scared and it was hard fir her to tell this to Jason, "Rory was here when the attack happened. She got hurt at her head. We have sent her to our underground first aid. You can meet her if you want. Doctor is with her." Grace replied.

After hearing this, Jason ran and went to the first aid which was two floors down. It was an ICU room where Rory was kept. An oxygen mask was on her. Her right leg was fractured and she was unconscious. Bandages were covered all over her head. Her scared all over her face showed that it was a fight-out war for her. Meanwhile the doctor came, "What happened to her, doctor? When she'll be fine?" Jason asked.

"I'm sorry, She went into comma ten minutes ago. She was conscious before but suddenly it happened," the doctor replied.

This new was a thunderclap to Jason. His life became senseless today. "Can I see her?" Jason asked.

"No. Not now," the doctor replied.

Jason was sitting at the at the couch which was at the corridor in front of ICU. The sea was out of his eyes and he was thinking of the good times which he had with Rory.

Meanwhile Ella, at the conference room where everything seem rubbish, everybody were standing in a circle and Ella stated, "Let's stop everything for a month. They are a lot of our information. Let's pray for Rory's health and try to forget about this. We'll get in touch and only conversate in code words."

"OKAY!" everyone replied together.

After this, Ella went to see Rory, When see heard about Rory's health, she knew how devastated Jason would be. She went and sat beside him. "I talked to the doctor. He said that if she want to live she can come out of it in fifteen days only." Then she held his hand putting her finger into his and said in calm and convincing voice, "Prayer work when medicines doesn't. Everything will fine."  

Jason was so out of his senses that when he heard Ella this much soft for the first time, he landed his head on her shoulder. Ella didn't say a word on his action this time, as she knew in which condition he is going through right now. They sat for an hour like this. Jason closed his eyes but was awake remembering his soft and sweet memories with Rory. Where Ella was tensed for what happened today. Her brain was planning for a revenge already.
