Chapter 10: What's the secret?

It is a scene of a luxurious bar. Where Jason and Roger were enjoying their drinks.

Jason said, "I don't know but there's some reason."

Roger asked, "You know what, in this world, everything happens for a reason."

Jason said annoyingly, " Ishh. I'm not talking about that. I'm telling you about our marriage. There has been some different reason for this contract."

Roger asked in a surprised way, "And how is that?"

Jason stood up and was roaming around. He faced the window and replied to Roger, "If there's been any challenge between us, she would have fought with me and showed me how good the challenge is but instead, she's silent doing nothing."

Roger looked at him and answered, "What if she'll start it soon..."

Jason replied, "I know that she'll not do anything like that. It looks like she only wants  to pass the time."

Roger asked, "I know her better, okay? I was with her when you left her crying. You know what, you're right. She is different now. She isn't the one who was in her childhood. You don't even know how she faced the time and let everything go."

Jason replied, "And I don't even want to know..."

Roger aggressively reacted and said, "Why you would want to know? Cause you love Rory right?"

Jason asked, "Why are you getting aggressive? Don't get so protective of her."

Roger calmly said, "You don't know the truth about her. There were a lot of things that happened when you weren't here. Things got changed.  She has secrets but she isn't a bad person. She supports innocents. Trust me."

Jason was surprised to hear this but he couldn't say anything and thought that everyone had fake sympathy for her...

The next day...

Ella got ready for the day and went down. She found that Jason's mother was making breakfast. It was quite strange for Ella as every day the breakfast was made by the cooks of the house.

Ella was about to ask the reason for this unique thing but suddenly,

Jason's mother shouted, "Aah!" And she burnt her hand.

Watching this, Ella too shouted, "Mom! Be careful. "

She went to Jason's mother, washed and applied ointment to the burnt finger.

She said, "Please be careful Mom. Leave it. The chefs will do the rest."

When she said this, Jason's mother wasn't attentive. She called her again, "Mom, Mom!"

Jason's mother (Indie) came out of her thinking. Looking at this, Ella said, "Is the anything, which is making you disturbed, tell me, maybe I can solve it. Is there anything Mom?"

Ella wanted Jason's mother to speak to herself about it. That's why, without saying anything about the incident yesterday, she was acting like nothing happened.

Jason's mother said, "I'm okay. You don't need to worry about this."

Ella asked again, "Are you sure?"

Jason's mother replied, "Sure but I wanted to tell you something don't let grandma know that you are adopted."

Ella replied, "Okay, but why? Doesn't in this family,  everyone know about each other? Why isn't the truth in our relationship?"

Ella was only poking Jason's mother to give up and tell the truth about yesterday's incident.

Jason's mother replied, "There are some things, which can't be started or followed on the path of truth. Please don't let grandma know about this case."

Ella in a positive tone replied, "Okay, I promise that I won't allow my truth to come out."

During the conversation, Indie's sleeve got up a little and Ella saw big red scares on Indie's hand.

As the cooks weren't available, Ella decided to handle the rest cooking on her own.

While she was cooking, Jason descended the steps to come down, after getting ready, he saw Ella cooking and got reminded of their past...

It's a scene of the backyard of Jason's house. Ella and Jason are kids,

Kid Ella excitedly asked, "Mr. Jason what would you like to eat today for lunch."

Jason replied, "How about some pasta?"

Ella replied, "Sure."

Ella and Jason were playing a newlywed couple. At that time, they promised to be with each other for the rest of their life as friends.

In that scene, suddenly Roger and a little girl enter where they are playing as a couple.
All four of them set and were enjoying the pasta...

While Jason was dreaming this, his eyes were all on Ella. Suddenly, Ella looked at him and there was eye contact for at least three seconds. It got broken when Ella started cooking again...

Meanwhile, Jason came down through stairs and was about to pull the chair of the dining table to sit, there was the voice of a female saying, "Hello guys!..."
