The first thing Chuuya noticed when he went to Y/n's room a few days later to gather her for a mission was that she was wearing the vest he'd given her. She had been standing patiently outside her own door, waiting for him with one of Mori's personal body guards. The man was dressed in a finely made black suit and eyed him sharply as Chuuya stopped beside her.
"Are you ready?" he asked Y/n who only nodded in return.
As they geared up and made their way to the car, she was silent. There was a doll-like quality to her movements, all porcelain and grace, Koyo's training coming through no doubt. It wasn't until they were safely alone on his motorcycle, heading to meet the rest of their team, that she said a word to him.
"You're acting strange." she said into his ear.
"I'm the one acting strange?" he scoffed, stopping at a red light and looking over his shoulder at Y/n who was seated behind him.
"This is how I normally am. When you met me I was acting strange."
"Was it just you 'acting strange' when you defected too?"
She had no response for that and the light was about to turn green.
"Look, we'll talk about this after the mission, okay?"

When Chuuya and Y/n arrived at the warehouse that was their final destination, it was to find that Akutagawa had commanded their other subordinates well enough to finish the job without the two executives present. Akutagawa had become used to Y/n and her strange manner of being. When she got off of Chuuya's motorcycle to interrogate the hostages, he immediately could tell something was off about her. In response to the questioning look Akutagawa shot him as he followed Y/n into the building, Chuuya just shook his head.
There were three men, badly beaten and tied down, sitting along the wall of the warehouse's office. Y/n stood stonily by the door, waiting for him and when Chuuya arrived, gestured her head at the men. Although she said nothing, he understood her intent.
"Now," Chuuya began, rounding on the men, "I understand you raided one of the Mafia's smuggling rings a few days back?"
None of the men answered.
"If you're not going to cooperate, I'm going to have to let my partner here do her side of the job. I don't know if you want that."
The men again remained silent and Y/n stepped forward. Gently, she tapped the bare ankle of the man closest to her. Almost immediately, a ring of a black fungus grew around it. Without much thought given, she did the same thing to the other two men. They looked to one another in confusion before turning to Y/n.
"If you don't answer, I snap my fingers and that fungus severs your foot." her voice was low and dangerous, "Would anyone like a demonstration?"
They frantically shook their heads no.
"Well then, I suggest you answer executive Nakahara's question."
"Yes!" one of them cried out before the rest could even process what Y/n had said.
The man beside him shoved him harshly.
"Shut up." he hissed under his breath.
Y/n held up her hand and snapped her fingers. The sound broke the air sharply, not as sharply as the man's screams that followed.
"I wasn't kidding around." she said coldly.
"How did you find out about it? Who told you where to go."
Y/n raised her hand threateningly as Chuuya spoke, the man who's foot she had severed still screaming in pain.
"I don't... he never told us his name! I swear!" the same man that had answered before pleaded.
