"I should get home now." Black put his drink on the table and put on his jacket.

"Can't you stay a little longer? Please?"

"Your puppy eyes don't work on me, you know that rich boy." Ray laughed and hugged Black goodbye.

"Get home safe, yeah? Text me when you get home okay?"

"I will, Daddy."

"Asshole." Ray had to grin. He was really glad to have met Black. He didn't know how he would have gotten through the last few years and months without him.

"Ray? Is that really you? You're back?" Yo suddenly appeared at his table. Embarrassed, Ray ran his hand through his hair, "It's really me." He stood up and let Yo hug him tightly.

"You look good, how are you?" Ray and Yo talked for a while, telling each other what had happened in their lives over the past two years. Yo was overjoyed to show Ray her engagement ring.

"Congratulations Yo. I'm very happy for you." And Ray told her that he had just been laid off a few hours ago, and his first destination was, of course, the Yolo bar.

"Sorry to interrupt." A young man had joined them. "Yo can you come with me for a minute, there's a little problem."

"Sorry Ray, I guess I have to take care of something, it was really nice to see you again."

"Don't worry, I'm sure we'll see each other again."

The reunion came sooner than expected when Yo returned to Ray's table half an hour later. "Ray, I know this is a big favor to ask from you, and I really think you're the last person I should ask this...but there's a little problem." Ray stood up and furrowed his brow questioningly. "It's about Sand." Ray felt his heart sink.

"What's going on?"

"He's had too much to drink, I don't know who else I can trust to take care of him. The others have been drinking far too much as well, and I can't get away from here. Would you mind driving him home? I know you're sober and..."

"Yo, are you sure? I don't even know if Sand would want me to. I mean we talked for a second earlier, but..."

"Please Ray. Remember how many times he's taken your drunk ass home. I'm not saying you guys should talk or you should stay with him tonight, I just want him to get home safe, that's all." Yo had a worried look on her face. Ray swallowed hard, he knew he couldn't refuse Yo's request and he knew he owed it to Sand somehow. But the situation was not really pleasant.

"Where is he?"

"Thanks Ray." Happily, Yo took him by the hand and led him to the bathroom. There, bent over one of the toilet bowls, Sand knelt on the floor.

"Sand." Ray crouched down next to the other and put a hand on his back. "Come on I'll take you home."

"You, can't drive. You're always drunk. Don't trust you." Sand slurred. Ray had to smile.

"I'm sober Sand. You had a little too much this time." He gently stroked the other's back. It felt like no time had passed since they had last seen each other. Only this time the roles were reversed.
"Yo here take my phone and save Sand's address, okay?" Yo nodded and picked up the phone.

"I don't want to go. So comfy on the floor." Sand mumbled. His eyes were half closed.

"I'm warning you if you puke in my car you get to clean it tomorrow." Murmured Ray. "Come on, get up. I'll take you home." He grabbed Sand and pulled him to his feet. "Hold on to me will you?"

Reluctantly, and with much coaxing from Yo and Ray, Sand finally let Ray lead him to his car. Once there, Yo opened the door and cleared Ray's boxes from the passenger side to the back seat. After some more coaxing, Ray had finally managed to get Sand into his car, buckle him in, and press a paper bag into his hand. "If you're going to puke let me know and if you can't take it anymore please use the bag." Sand commented with a drunken growl and closed his eyes.
