Jealousy, Jealousy

"Mew that should be fun." Ray searched in his closet for a shirt. "Besides, you said you wanted to get to know Black better." Ray pulled a yellow shirt out of the closet, it had the white outline of multiple suns on it, one of the few shirts he still owned. "And you were the one who suggested we meet him today."

"I didn't say anything about going to the Yolo Bar, Ray." Mew crossed his arms in front of his chest.

"Why not? Yolo is our regular bar. Just because I don't drink anymore doesn't mean I have to avoid places like that."

"You're right Ray." Mew admitted defeat. "So who's coming?"

"And the point goes to Mew." Yo pointed to the table where the friends were sitting and one of the waitresses brought another shot glass and placed it in front of Mew. Top put an arm around his boyfriend.

"Looks like you're gonna beat me this time." He gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"You really are amazing Mew." Longtae held out his hand and Mew gave him a high-five.

"Where are Puen and Talay?" Black turned to Ray.

"They canceled. Got a movie premiere, I think they just finished shooting a series called First Sunlight or something like that." Ray took a sip of his soda.

"Wait Ray, First Sunlight? You don't mean the Friends credits production, do you?" Mew's eyes had gotten big. "Two years and you haven't even introduced me to them?" Ray rolled his eyes.

"I tried to introduce them to you several times, you never had time."

"Well I have to give that to Ray. You've been pretty busy with the Only Friends Stay, you have to admit." Stand Top Ray bei.

"I know...but how did it not click with me that you meant Friends Credits?"

"I can't tell you that either, my dear friend." Laughed Ray. He leaned his head on Black's shoulder and looked around. It was a great evening and he enjoyed the company of his friends. It was nice to be with them, even if Puen and Talay were missing, he was at least glad that Longtae had found time to come over. Even though he had been his guardian, they had got on really well the whole time and the age difference between them was only 3 years anyways.

Ray wasn't aware that a pair of dark eyes was watching his every move from a distance.

"Stop staring, Sand. Summer will be back in a minute." Nick elbowed his best friend gently in the side. He shook his head and finally turned away from the group of friends.

"Do you think Black and Ray...?"

"And even if they are whatever." Nick interrupted Sand. "You have no right to be jealous, so don't be."

"You're right..." Sand took a deep breath. "Where's Summer anyway and where's Boston?" He looked around Yolo, and again and again his gaze lingered on Ray. Ray holding onto Black as he laughed, Ray with his head on Black's shoulder, Ray whispering things in Black's ear, Ray who….

"Hey baby I'm back." Summer kissed Sand on the cheek and wrapped her arms around his hips. She hugged him from behind, her chin resting on Sand's shoulder. "What are you looking at?"

"N-nothing specific, just the crowd." Sand turned to his girlfriend. "Let's drink, shall we? Boston should be back soon, too." Sand forced a smile on his face and took his girlfriend by the hand as they walked to their table. Summer looked at Nick with that certain "you're his best friend so please tell me what's going on" expression but Nick just shrugged and shook his head. He wouldn't dare say or imply anything, even if he didn't like the fact that Sand was obviously still attached to Ray. It was not his place to talk or even put Sand into his place. He was just the best friend trying to reason with the other, but in the end it was Sand who would be the one making a decision, not him.

"It really was a great evening." The friends were just saying goodbye to each other when the door swung open and Sand and Nick suddenly stood in front of them.

"Oh Sand, Nick, I didn't know you were here as well." Mew looked genuinely surprised. "You could have joined us."

"Don't worry, it's all right, Summer and Ton were there too, it would have been a bit cramped at the table, wouldn't it?" Nick looked around the table. "But aren't you going to introduce us to your friends, Mew?"

"They're not my friends." Mew crossed his arms. "Ray, why don't you introduce your friends?"

"Black, Nick, Nick, Black. Sand and you already know each other. Nick, this is Longtae, he was my counselor at the clinic and has become a good friend of mine." Ray tried to get out of this situation as quickly as possible. It was really awkward.

"Nice to meet you." Nick shook Black's hand, then Longtae's. "I'm Nick in case you didn't quite catch that. Sand's best friend and..."

"Boston." Ton had an arm wrapped around Nick and held out his hand to Black. "Nice to meet you." Nick swallowed.

"Can we please just stop the whole getting to know you?" Nick rolled his eyes. He could understand Sand, Black had that aura about him, he knew he was good looking and the effect he had on others.

"Baby what's going on?" Ray felt a twinge in his heart as a slender arm wrapped around Sand's hips. That arm belonged to a beautiful young woman. Sand put an arm around her shoulders.

"Nothing, Summer. We were all just about to go home, am I right?" Everyone present nodded hastily.

"Oh, too bad, I'm not even tired yet." Summer pouted. Her eyes fell on Longtae. "Who the hell are you? You look suprr cute." She reached out and poked Longtae softly in the nose. "Sooo soft." A drunk smile appeared on Summer's face.

"And that's my sign that you definitely belong in bed, dear." Sand apologized to Longtae several times and then took Summer to Boston's car.

Ray looked after them. She really is beautiful Sand. No wonder you fell in love with her.

Ray drove aimlessly through the city.  He had just  brought Black and Longtae home but didn't want to go home yet himself
Ray didn't want to be alone in his room at the hostel, didn't want to be alone with his thoughts. Mew had gone home with Top, Longtae had a longer journey ahead of him the next day as he wanted to visit his family and Tian in the mountains. And Ray didn't want to annoy Black any further; he had already demanded more than enough from him in the last two years. The lights of the night passed Ray by like a garland of a thousand stars, making it feel like he was floating through the sky.

And suddenly it was as if Ray had found his way, he felt as if his body had been put on autopilot. He could barely remember how he got to his destination and it was as if a fog was lifting when he was brought back to reality by a knock on the window of his car.

"Ray. What are you doing here?" With a basket in his hand and dressed only in boxer shorts and a top, Sand stood in front of Ray's car and looked at him questioningly through the window.
