Driving down the dark desert highway, cool wind whips through Y/N's hair. The sun has slowly been setting, its last few rays of light drifting over the land and casting shadows in their wake.

Y/N have been on the road all day, having had the urge to take a spontaneous road trip by herself. Work has been really hectic lately, so since she has the next three days off, she decided to use them to her advantage.

The only problem is, the last sign of civilization Y/N passed was forty minutes down the road, and she's not quite sure when the next hotel, or even a place to stop for the evening might pop up.

Luckily, within the next five minutes, it seems as if her thoughts have been answered, for a hotel appears in the distance.

Pulling into the parking lot, Y/N saw the place skeptically. For a building right smack in the middle of the desert, it sure doesn't look like one. The bright stone walls practically shine beneath the light of the now risen full moon, the place looking more like a resort than anything.

Hopefully it's not too expensive then.

Cutting the engine after rolling up the windows, Y/N let out a long breath through her nose. Slowly, she stepped out of the car, rolling her neck all the while.

Standing only makes her realize just how stiff her entire body is, stretching her arms and back out slightly before she slam the car door shut.

Oddly enough, there are no other cars in the parking lot, save for herself.

Y/N's brow furrows slightly as she makes her way towards the front entrance. Though, she suppose it makes sense. She is in the middle of the desert.

Pushing open the door, Y/N immediately feels the effects of the air conditioned lobby, her shoulders subconsciously relaxing as she step inside.

Y/N's eyes skim the name of the hotel as she enter- MANIA- it's modern design seems to fit it well.

Walking up to the reception desk, Y/N notice that no one seems to be in sight. Perhaps she missed someone on her way in, so she opted to turn around, giving the lobby a quick sweep with her eyes.

Still, Y/N fails to see anybody, so she turns back around. Maybe there’s a bell she can ring or something.

Y/N's whole body jumps as she saw a woman now standing behind the counter, seemingly having appeared from nowhere. Her brunette hair is tied in a ponytail and a smile rests on her features.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you." The woman said. "My name is Nayeon, and I'm the manager of this hotel here. How may we be of service?"

Y/N blink, needing a moment to collect her thoughts before she's able to remember the reason why she's here.

"Oh, right." Y/N chuckle, somewhat awkwardly. "How much is a single room for the weekend? Two nights in particular?"

"Hmm, let's see," Nayeon hums, typing something into the computer in front of her. Her eyes scan the screen, a grin tugging at the corner of her lips. "You're in luck. We're having a special this weekend only on our single rooms. Two nights for the price of one."

Y/N's jaw nearly drops at the amount the girl tells her. "Seriously?"

"Of course." The woman smiles.
