Two days have passed since Y/N has shared that moment with Nayeon in the garden. Even she can tell that there’s been another shift in her dynamics with them. For now, even if she's still a little cautious around them, the trust is not one hundred percent established, she's trying.
Jisoo's words still echoed throughout her mind every now and then, and she knows the rest of them have caught glimpses of her thinking about that moment within Jisoo's tailor shop over the past two days.
Yet, none of them have pushed her on the matter, nor does it seem like Jisoo told them anything of her insecurities. A fact of which warms Y/N's heart that they would all respect her privacy like that.
They all really aren’t so bad after all. She just isn't ready to reveal that part of herself to all of them yet. Nowadays, though, she finds her mind battling with the more logical side of herself. Yes, she does want to continue growing to trust them. They’ve done nothing to hurt her, or make her feel like she's truly trapped here with them since she arrived.
Time and time again, they’ve proven that all they want to do is take care of her—to cherish and love her in their own ways, and provide whatever they can in each and every way possible. Still, she cannot help but to doubt herself. They are demons, and they did lure her to them one way or another.
They did stalk her for quite a period of time, and they have admitted to doing some pretty shady things. Breaking and entering into hee apartment, stealing her things, watching her sleep: the list seems to be growing every day.
Should she really be trusting them? Do they even deserve that?
Maybe, or maybe not. Y/N's still not fully decided, but for now, she's simply taking things day by day, and seeing how things go. There’s no point in crying over it anymore, and really, making the best out of the situation at hand isn’t hurting anyone. She thinks she could actually get used to this.
Which is exactly how she finds herself shooting pool that second evening in the game room. The familiar sound of her favourite songs flow through the bluetooth speakers they have set up in the area, a small smile tugging at the corner of her lips.
Movement out of the corner of her eyes catches her attention, drawing her gaze to the open doorway that leads into the hall.
“Want some company?” Sana leans against the open doorframe, arms crossed over her chest as she watches Y/N with a tender look in her eyes.
Y/N blinked. This is the first time Sana asked her if she wanted her presence around instead of simply just inserting herself into her space. A fact which warms her heart more than she cares to admit. To say it’s refreshing would be an understatement.
She smiled at the girl. For the first time in what feels like forever, she actually smiles at Sana. “Sure.”
Sana nearly collapses on the spot. Not only did Y/N just genuinely smile at her, but she also agreed to let her keep her company. She could not be happier right now, and she finds she has to keep her hands from shaking as she takes her first step into the game room.
Y/N, on the other hand, doesn’t really pay Sana any mind, opting to finish her round of pool before anything else. The familiar clack of the billiards sinking into the sockets reaches her ears as the final ball is sunk, a grin tugging at the corner of her lips.
