For the next sixteen hours, Y/N remains unconscious. Sixteen hours which are pure torture to every single girl in that household, and the longer she remained asleep, the more worry eats away at them from the inside.

Luckily, sometime around the mid-afternoon, she finally seemed to regain consciousness.

Stirring slightly, her eyes twitched beneath her lids. Carefully, she stretches out, feeling a dull ache in her back, as well as something warm resting against it. Keeping her eyes shut for the moment at the bright light she can see filtering in behind her eyelids, she scrunched her face, a slight groan escapes her. "That better be Ymir resting on my back, and not somebody's head." her voice is rough, strained as she manages to clear her throat in the next second.

Two giggle sound, one on either side of her, as Y/N felt that little warm lump on her back stand. The cat stretches soon after, crawling off of her only to be replaced by a gentle hand in the next moment. A hand which strokes lovingly, carefully, down her spine.

Y/N recognized that touch immediately. "Minari?" she lifted her head, blinking a few times groggily to clear her vision. Sure enough, once her gaze refocuses, she sees the girl smiling softly down at her, Mina's hand comes up to cup the side of her face tenderly as she pushes herself upwards slightly.

At the sound of a soft giggle coming from her opposite side, Y/N's quick to turned her attention to the other girl in the room. "Is that you, Sana?" she blinked, clearing her throat in the next moment.

"It's me, baby," Sana smiles faintly as Y/N meets her gaze. Both girls immediately moved to help her sit, noticing how she continues to push herself upwards. "Don't strain yourself."

"Here, darling," In the blink of an eye, Mina is handing her the glass of red liquid that has been resting on her side table. "Drink the rest of this."

Without question, Y/N takes the offering from the girl's hand. Looking down into the glass, she blinks a few times before taking a hesitant sip. At the way her shoulders seemingly relax, a hum escaping her, she down the rest of the glass in an instant.

Sana giggles. "Were you expecting it to taste bad?"

Swallowing once more, Y/N feels some energy immediately returning to her body, starting at the tips of her fingers and spreading outwards. Even her eyes seems to come more alive, shining brighter than they were mere moments before.

At least they know the tonic is working.

"I don't know what I was expecting," Y/N shrugged, smiling faintly as Mina takes the now empty glass from her hands and places it back onto the side table. "Certainly not the taste of cranberry juice and..." her brow furrows slightly in thought as she blinked, licking her bottom lip. "Iron?"

"Damn, and here I thought I masked the taste of my blood enough for you." Sana jokes, shaking her head teasingly.

Y/N quirks a brow, tilting her head forward slightly in Sana's direction. "I just drank your diluted blood, and you didn't tell me?"

"My blood has been in your system for almost twenty-four hours now, baby," Sana responds, a hint of fear flashing in her eyes in the next moment. "You gave all of us quite a scare yesterday."

Y/N blinked, looking down at her hands as her shoulders curled the slightest bit inwards. "If you're going to lecture me, too, save it," her jaw twitches slightly. "I don't want to hear it."

"Don't worry, darling," Mina assures her, placing a comforting hand onto her shoulder as her thumb gently strokes over her exposed skin. "We have no intentions of doing such a thing."
