Part 30

The remainder of that same day is spent resting and catching up on sleep. That headache didn’t seem to break until late that same night, and once it did, the tremendous amount of relief Y/N felt was insane. 

The girls all noticed, of course, immediately offering to take Y/N's pain away and heal her headache. Only, she refused, saying she probably just needed some sleep.

Y/N had too many things on her mind to think about, so she figured that that’s probably what all the stress had been from, anyways.

Plus, she have the added fact about Miyeon and the danger she poses.

Now, Y/N isn't dumb. She figured that they would have many, many exes and past relationships given who, and what they are. If they didn’t have at least ten significant others in all of their long years of living, she would be extremely curious as to why not.

Still, she never expected their latest ex to hate her guts, more than likely wanting to kill her in the most brutal ways Miyeon knows how.

What a sad life that must be, to not be able to move on after twenty long years, and recognize one’s own faults. Clearly, Miyeon is incapable of self-reflection, but then again, she’s probably incapable of realizing a lot a things about herself if that’s always been the way she’s treated them. She is nothing but a narcissist, seeking that validation through manipulation, and believing that she can do no wrong.

When the next day comes, Y/N still finds it difficult to get out of bed, except to do the basic things like eat and bathe herself.

All she wants to do is rest, her mind exhausted from all of this new information presented to her in the past week alone.

The girls are good about it. Giving Y/N her space when she needs it, but still making sure to check in on her every now and then.

Y/N's still a little colder to Jisoo, Nayeon, and Irene, though. A fact which the three know they all deserve, but still makes their hearts pang in their chests when it happens.

At least Y/N never went back to ignoring them.

Rosé, on the other hand, is constantly kissing up to Y/N now. Every day, Rosé makes Y/N her favourite meals, and showering her darling in praises and apologies.

Granted, Rosé didn’t surprise Y/N as much as Irene did when she originally voted ‘no’, but Rosé did sound a bit hesitant to Y/N when she said it, and she’s shown the greatest amount of remorse since the incident.

The quickest, too. At least, in Y/N's opinion.

Y/N has noticed a change within her, as well. The other four, certainly, she has grown closer to, but there’s a deeper understanding between them all now - a deeper trust. Y/N even went so far as to begin smiling when she sees one of them pop their head into her room, her eyes lighting up as they ask her how she's feeling.

Though, none have experienced quite the change as Jennie and Mina have.

If someone had told Jennie that Y/N would be suddenly brushing up against her mind more often, let alone speaking to her through Y/N's connection over the next three days at the very start of their relationship - if Y/N could have even called it that - Jennie would have laughed in their face.

Even now, on the fifth day after the mall incident, as Y/N linked her mind to Jennie once more to show Jennie an art meme Y/N found that the demon might like, Jennie cannot help but swoon.

Finally, Y/N's opening up to her, just as she has always been ready and willing to open up to her.

Jennie just wishes Y/N would come to see her art room, but she supposes that that’s all in due time.
