“Okay, just what the hell is going on here?” Y/N's voice draws all of their attention to her once more, and she ends up shrinking back in her seat when she suddenly finds herself beneath the gazes of all eight girl's stares.

A sigh came from Nayeon, "There’s no point in keeping it from you any longer. You were bound to find out anyways, this is just not how we planned on telling you.” she said leaning back in her chair as she closes her eyes for a brief moment. “I’m sure you’ve noticed something’s amiss by now.”

“Tell me what?” Fear spikes within Y/N. “That you guys are all part of some weird cult?”

Sana, Jisoo, Rosé, and Lisa all burst out laughing at her words.

“You could say that,” Mina sighs. “It certainly feels like it sometimes.”

Y/N's heartbeat rings in her ears.

“Stop that, you’re scaring her.” Irene frowns.

Before Y/N can say another word, someone is beating her to it.

“No, we’re not cultists.” Jisoo sighs. “Though, I don’t think you’re going to feel much better learning what our true nature is.”

“Your ‘true nature’?” The furrow in Y/N's brow deepens, panic clear now on her features. “Don’t tell me you all think you’re vampires, or some shit like that.”

“Not quite,” Rosé chuckles from the end of the table.

Again, that unnerving smile is back on Nayeon's features, “More like demonic entities, if you will.”

Y/N's heart jumps into her throat. “You’re demons?

“More or less,” Jennie shrugs casually, as if this is a conversation they have every day.

“No.” Y/N state, placing a hand onto of the table to brace yourself with. “No. This isn’t possible.”

“Anything is possible, Y/N,” Jisoo grins. Truly, a chilling sight which sends a shiver right down Y/N's spine.

“This is insane.” Y/N hiss, shaking her head as she stares at her hand placed on the table. Her fingers brush against something familiar.

“The first step towards sanity is embracing the insane.” Nayeon replies, and Y/N turns to see her stand from her chair.

Nayeon hummed before she tilted Y/N's chair slightly to face her, “Do you really think that everything that’s happened to you within the past thirty-six hours has been natural?” she cocks her, “We have powers that you cannot even begin to comprehend, Love.”

Y/N swallow the dryness in her throat. “I don’t believe you.”

Nayeon grins, “It wasn’t some random force that compelled you to take a road trip on your one weekend off,” her eyes suddenly flashing red. “It was us.

A gasp escapes Y/N as Nayeon's red eyes lock onto hers. So she haven’t been imagining things. Their eyes really do shift red.

With her heartbeat ringing through her ears, Y/N leans as far back in her seat as she can to get away from Nayeon.

Y/N's one hand still rests firmly on the table beside her, and she can feel the other’s eyes on her, watching her every move.
