For two whole days, Y/N sees no sight, nor hears no sound of Jisoo.

Probably because she has opted to confine herself to her room again, worried one of the others will bring up the topic of talking to Jisoo before she's ready. At least the separation has given her time to think. Sure, she's still upset with what Jisoo said, but Nayeon's words from the other day in the library keep repeating themselves inside of her head.

Jisoo was scared.

Y/N know first hand what fear can do to her emotional response. All logic simply can, and will, fly out of the window.

Still, that does not excuse what Jisoo said to her.

On the third day, she bravely traversed outside of her room for a little while. The encounter she had with Jisoo is brief. She walks into the foyer on the way to the library when she sees the said girl coming from the opposite hall. Of course, Jisoo froze as soon as she saw her, eyes going wide as that same look of regret and sorrow takes over her features.

Y/N said nothing, but she met her gaze, blinking once at her as she continued to walk past.

For the first time in weeks, Jisoo doesn't immediately beg for her forgiveness. No, this time, the girl simply watches her until she disappears from her sight. Still, Jisoo cannot keep her hands from shaking.

A fact of which Y/N notices.

The rest of the week passes by exactly like this. Whenever she sees Jisoo, she acknowledges hee presence either by meeting her gaze briefly, or nodding subtly in her direction. Jisoo makes no attempt to push her to listen to her anymore, nor does she dump countless amounts of apologies onto her. It's still tense, but at least it's bearable for her now.

Finally, Y/N felt as if she can breathe again.

A week after that talk in the library with Irene and Nayeon, she decided to call her sister. She hasn't spoken to her in a little bit, and considering everything that's happened, she could really use a good familial connection right now. Her mother is always an option, but as soon as she lets on that she's not in the right headspace, her mother will start asking her a million and one questions, and do whatever is in her power to find her and comfort her.

Not that Y/N would complain, she just would rather have someone to listen to for now, instead of wanting to take direct action. Besides, she could really go for hearing her sister's familiar and comforting voice.

"Hey boo, what's up?" Her sister greets her with a smile after two rings of the video call going through. "How've you been?"

Currently, Y/N finds herself sitting out on her balcony, the doors open wide behind her. She rests on one of the chaises, stretching her feet out in front of her as she holds her phone in her hand, elbow propped up on one of the arm rests. "I've been okay," she smiles briefly, nothing more than a tense pull of her lips upwards. "I just wanted to call and check up on things with you. How have you been?"

"I've been great!" Her sister replies, eyes instantly lighting up. "Work has really been picking up, so I'm happy about that."

Fifteen minutes later, and her sister has told her all about her personal business finally gaining traction, and bringing in more clients. Y/N can tell that her sister is super excited about everything, and that excitement rubs off on her, she finds herself smiling genuinely along to everything she has to say, and replying when appropriate with her encouragement and praise.

Y/N is really proud of her and how far her sister has come, considering everything that she's been through the past few years.

"Oh, and the next time you come to visit, we have a surprise for you!" Her sister grins.
