"I-I mean...you're...very pretty..." I stutter, their eyes widen at me. They shake their head and laugh awkwardly. "N-no no...I really am not..."
"I mean...compared to you..." They whisper, I hear them though. I giggle, "Thanks....for that." They look up at me, smiling softly. I suck in a deep breath, "L-Listen....Black Hole...I have something to tell you..."
They turn their head slightly, how are they so cute? "What is it?" They ask, scooting a bit closer to me. I blush, turning away "I-it...is something....important..." I mutter, turning back to look at them.
"Are you...kicking me out?" They ask, their expression saddening. I shake my head quickly, "N-no! Of course not...quite the opposite actually." I manage to spit out, they look at me. Intrigued.
"Please tell me." They urge, curious. I sigh, looking off into the distance. I need to choose my next words very carefully.
"L-Look...I-...I really like you." I say, looking back at their face. They nod, "I like you too."
I shake my head, "N-no...I...more than like you..." I say, shutting my eyes, trying to regain my thoughts.
"I love you Black Hole..."
I bury my face in my hands, not wanting to see what they think. I just want to melt in a useless puddle. How could they love me? They probably don't even know what that is! They're so innocent, clearly. How are they so perfect without trying?
"...love...?"
I look up at them, and nod slowly. "Yes...love...You know how I was saying I was gay?" I say, leaning back a bit. They nod, laying down next to me. "I-I mean...I think...I really do love you Black Hole."
"Sorry if this is so sudden, y-you probably don't even feel the same way- I mean...you're so amazing! I-...I would never be able to compare..." I sigh, hiding my face from their view. I feel as they slowly place their hand on my shoulder.
"N-no...I-...I think I love you too, Tree."
I turn to look at them, "R-really? I-I mean...I'm just a ordinary guy! Y-you're...a god..." I sigh, staring at them with confusion. They laugh, "God? N-no...I am not god," They try and protest.
"You literally flew me across a lake." I giggle, they nod sheepishly. "Well...I did do that for you...is that enough proof for you to know I love you?"
I pause, considering their words. They did do that...they did all of this, I realize I hadn't been this happy in a while.
It was all because of them.
"...Do you really love me?" I ask, staring at them. They nod brightly, gripping my hand. "I-I am not the best with...'love'...it is a new experience...but I think I experience it with you..."
My eyes widen, did they really love me? Why? Why would they love me?
"Wh-why? Why would you experience...love...with me? I-"
The cut me off, "You were the first person to show me kindness...you offered me a roof over my head. You helped me when everyone else had abandoned me...no wonder why I love you..." They smile, their tail wagging quickly behind them. I giggle, throwing myself on them
"Woah!" They yelp, getting pinned down by my bear hug. I laugh, feeling tears well up in my eyes. "Oh!...I-I am so sorry I made you cry!" They stutter, hugging me back.
"Th-these are happy tears Black Hole! D-don't be sorry." I laugh, getting off of them slowly. They nod, smiling widely. I wipe my face with my sleeve, staring at them lovingly. "S-so...what does this make us?"
I shrug, getting up "Boyfriends?" I ask. They shrug, "I- suppose..."
"Are you uncomfortable with that title?" I ask, holding their hands with my own. They blush, shaking their head. "N-no...I am fine with it..." They smile, softly. I nod, smiling back at them. "I love you Black Hole..."
"I love you too...Tree."
I lean in, giving them a long hug. They return the favor, leaning their head on my shoulder. I shut my eyes, it was a peaceful moment. They held me tight, as I support them standing. It was like we were made to be.
Sure it's corny...but it felt right. It just did.
I pull away, staring at their face. It was truly beautiful...everything about them was perfect.
"M-may I kiss you?" I ask, nervous. Their confused, "What is...kiss?" They ask. I chuckle, planting my lips on theirs.
Their eyes widen, I caught them off guard. They slowly sink into it, shutting their eyes. I smile into the kiss, they were so perfect.
I wanted the moment to last forever, just me and them.
Forever.
I slowly pull away after what feels like a lifetime. They suck in a breath, blush plastered all over their face. "That, was what a kiss is." I smile, giving them a peck on the cheek. They giggle a bit, their tail swishing around.
"Th-thank you...for that..." They whisper, giving me a small kiss back. I nod, wrapping my arms around them again.
"Sh-should we head back now?" They ask, looking at the sun, which is high in the sky now. I shrug, "Would you like to? Or do you want to spend some more time out?"
They think for a moment, "I would like to go back..." The say after a few seconds. I nod, leading them to my car.
The car ride back was pleasant, we chatted, laughed, enjoyed each others company. I pull into my driveway as we continue to chat, stepping into the house I sit down on the couch.
"It's good to be home," I sigh, watching as the sit down next to me. They yawn a bit, their eyelids heavy.
"Sleepy?" I ask, laying down. They crawl on top of me, nodding. I chuckle, letting them lay on my chest. I hear them purr quietly, their tail wrapping around me.

I snap a quick picture of them, as they slowly drift off. I smile, shutting my phone off. We really did not get any sleep last night...
I feel myself succumb to the exhaustion, I pet their head lulling them and myself to sleep. They shift, sinking into the touch.
I smile, giving them a small kiss on their forehead. They give a small smile back to me, subconsciously wagging their tail a bit. I giggle, feeling myself fall asleep. Wrapping my arms around them.
