Third Person P.O.V:

"JUNO. Stop biting at the bandages!!!!!" Tree shouts, swatting Juno's little face away. She growls, retreating to her cat tower in the corner and opting to glare intensely at Tree instead. The latter simply rolls their eyes, going back to his phone games.

Black Hole stumbles into the room, almost knocking over the end table. "I got popcorn! So we can watch a movie or something? To keep your mind off...well that?" They suggest, gesturing to Tree's medium-rare cooked thighs.

Tree sighs, leaning back as his head hits the back of the couch. "Yeah...that'd be nice..."

The former beams, setting down the bowl on the coffee table and practically nose dives into the DVD drawer. "What do you want to watch?" They ask, throwing a bunch of, now unorganized, discs on the floor.

"Uhhh...not sure...you can pick this time? I mean, Pen tells me I have a horrible taste in movies." Tree shrugs, recalling on how he's shared with Pen that his favorite movie at the time was (embarrassingly, and obviously) some silly Disney movie. (He didn't share much about his interests with Pen after that.)

Black Hole ponders this for a moment, the thought of suddenly having the power to decide what they'd watch must've overloaded his tiny brain for a second. "Well, I don't think all your decisions are horrible, I mean..." He smiles, sitting on the floor. "You decided to let me live here. That was smart."

"Was it?" Tree snorts, how many times has he been emotionally challenged, hurt, and/or put in danger ever since he met Black Hole?

But now? Looking at how Black Hole silently sort of deflates, tail falling downward at the thought of not being worth it. With that face, who was Tree kidding? Black Hole was the best thing that had happened to him in a while, if not the greatest.

Not only was he one of the sweetest, most humble people Tree's ever met, but he treats Tree like an actual person!

Crazy right? A god, caring about some mortal being that he could easily kill without second thought. With no repercussions, not consequences, nothing. Cares about Tree. Worries, loves, understands, all those good adjectives.

Tree was nothing compared to Black Hole, yet Black Hole treated him as if he was everything.

Black Hole had also brought another joy into his life.

Cherry jr.

He'd never wanted a kid, with all his past partners even if they argued they all agreed on the same thing: No kids.

But of course, with everything in his life, Black Hole had swayed his opinion rather quickly. (Not that he had a choice, how could he say no to that face?)

CJ has, and will always be a vital part of their little family. Tree can only hope that they see it in the same way he does.

"I'm just messin' with you babe. Of course it was a good idea." Tree chuckles, heart fluttering at how Black Hole immediately perks up and flashes Tree a smile that could almost literally power their house for a good month or two with how bright it is.

"Yaay!!! Anyways, I saw this movie online and it was called like The Wild Robot and it looked really cool but it doesn't have a DVD I don't think because it's newer but it's on like some kind of thing so can we watch it pleaseee???" Black Hole pleaded, gently floating back the discs he had discarded back into his proper place.

Tree smiles, watching as Black Hole stumbles over and plops down next to him. Juno finally deciding to be social again, jumps on Black Hole's lap and happily parks herself there.

"You're a little rat, y'know that?" Tree scoffs, rubbing Juno's head affectionately. Juno simply meows, sticking out her tongue at Tree.

Black Hole lets out a giddy little laugh, handing Tree the remote so they could get to watching.
