I stare at the television in front of me. Enjoying the visuals displayed on it, as Tree was in the kitchen doing something. I smile at the way the television people walk around, laughing and enjoying each others company.

I watch as the screen shifts, show-casing a large map. I watch as the man on the screen points to various locations. Watching, I wait to see what they say about Tree and I's location.

"...and here in the Goiky coast, we have a special treat: Shooting stars!" They exclaim, beaming at the camera. I stare, interested. Shooting stars? What are those?

"Make sure to head out tonight! It may just be a one in a life-time experience!" Says the man, usuring another worker to keep the conversation going. I am still stuck on what a shooting star is? Is it an event where people go out and shoot stars?

"Tree?" I call, looking towards the kitchen. They peek their head towards me, "Yeah?"

"What are shooting stars?" I inquire, sitting up a bit straighter. They do the shoulder motion yet again. "It's when it looks like stars are falling from space. But they're just asteroids. Why?"

I think for a moment, "No reason, just wondering. New word for me." I smile, they nod back, heading back into the kitchen.

'Stars...falling from space?' That can even happen? This planet is surreal.

The mans words echo in my head. 'Once in a life-time'...it seems like something Tree would like...

Maybe they want to see the stars with me? I could ask them...maybe. What if they have plans? I lean back into the 'couch'. Such a strange word...why would they name it that??

I shut my eyes, thinking for a long few minutes. What if they do not want to see the stars? I shake off my anxiety, they would want to do something you. Maybe.

"What're you thinking about?" They ask, I open my eyes as they sit down next to me. I smile awkwardly, "Oh nothing...I just...wanted to ask you something."

I feel a lump form in my throat, my face heating up. They smile, placing their hand on mine. I feel that familiar feeling of warmth on my face. "Sure, what's up?" They ask, beaming at me. I shake my head out of my thoughts.

"Uh-...th-there were these...uh...shooting stars things....that are happening apparently....a-and...I was wondering...if..." I stutter, embarrassed. They giggle, kissing my cheek. My tail swings quickly as I cover my face.

"Are you asking if I want to see the stars with you?" They ask, leaning against my chest. I squeak, nodding. They laugh again, kissing my hands before pulling them away from my face. I give a sheepish smile.

"Then it's a date!" They beam, giving me another kiss. I give them a small grin, kissing them back. "Let's leave at 7:30...okay?"

I nod eagerly, glad they want to this with me. They return to the kitchen, but not after a small kiss first.

I feel a warm feeling spread across my chest as I hug my knees into it. I grin like an idiot, shutting my eyes and just thinking of them. How amazing they are, how kind they are. Everything.

How'd I get so lucky?

Tree P.O.V:

After a short drive back to our spot, well...it only felt short because we kept talking-, we park the car and get out. "Did you get the blanket?" I ask them as they hop down out of the car. They nod happily, displaying the blanket for me to see. I beam and give them a thumbs up.
